Description

A 1024x768 cropped from a 2560x1920 to remove half a telephone box Fulstow No.2 This is a Peckett 0-4-0 built in 1928, and was taken on 11-Apr-2004 at the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway, Ludborough. This little railway is a short stretch of the ex-GNR line that ran from Louth in Lincolnshire to Grimsby in Nth East Lincolnshire. It is run by a dedicated group of volunteers. Thanks to everyone who has dropped in to see me. I hoped to get around to visit you yesterday but I have to fill another skip with lumps of concrete and it looks like being another days hard work. No pain no gain :)

I adore old trains and these early XXth century brings old and sweet memories to my mind. Never mind :) Great capture and funny title ! Congrats !!!

If it were not so far away, I would love to be there. The steam engine brings back childhood memories of when I was about 10 and say my last steam engine in service. Those that remain are taken care of by those who volunteer. Thank you for sharing. V

What memories that train brings back. Many years ago I was fortunate enough to spend a summer in England and had a chance to ride on that very train!!!!!!! Beautiful image excellent photography!!!
