Description

Vue 5 Infinite Superb castle model by Sven Daennart This is a smal section of a larger image that I am working on. I thought it might be helpful to those that have not worked with Vue Infinite's ecosystems to show the image at this stage before the detail is added to the gardens and remaining landscape. This shows a practical use of ecosystems. The flowers, hedges are ecosystems (7 in all). Simple planes that have a procedural grass mat and populated with flowers. (You can not populate an infinite plane.) The circular gardens are each a torus textured and populated likewise. The next step will be to add geometric designs to the flowers gardens with other species, add trees and detail the ponds and other parts of the lanscapre that are not visible in this close up. Learning wise, I have just scratched the surface of Vue's new features. For more advanced/creative uses of ecosystems and other features, I suggest the works of pmermino, raffyraffy, Erka, sacada, Czarnyrobert (TROC), Polax, and Wabe to name a few.

You are still the master of clearity even in a WIP you extend your masterful use of atmosphere. Can't wait to see finished scene! "E" V PS I am so envious of all of you with V5I. It will be a very long time before I can get enough saved to get it, so I will simply keep veiwing and wishing. Seeing the possibilities it presents has sent my creative sense into a whirlwind of thoughts that I know I just can't bring to fruition until I win the lottery or something to get V5I. I normally don't pay any attention to demos but I can't wait for them to release the V5I demo.

top render ! I specially like lighting and the garden...the only thing that looks a bit strange is the white texture, specially on the right side of the castle

Looks good. One crit: the texture of the sides of the building, especially around the circular towers, looks a bit off, not quite right. I would try and tweek it to make it more realistic.

This is simply outstanding Ken! Gorgeous image and that castle never looked quite so fabulous, or the gardens either. If you have only scratched the surface of Infinite, you are going to be doing some really jaw-dropping images!
