Description

Axalp is a resort at 1535 m (5036 ft) mainly for older people enjoying the clear air on this altitude. We park the car and walk a few hundred meters up to Chrutmettli at 1706 m (5597 ft), through the exuberant snow covering this landscape. What a joy! The vista on the lake (Axalp lies in front of it) at 564 m (1850 ft) with the mountains on the background ending in the Brienzer Rothorn (2350 m, 7710 ft, just right out of this picture) is something that makes me stare for a long time. Human activity can be seen by the very little vehicles moving deep down there in the valley. This is a place for rest and reflections, where all the speeds of life seems to come to rest. *sigh* Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 35 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

It reminds me of a law in the OT that kings had trouble with, "Do not eat in the high places." I offer you the prophets as men now no longer active to understand this. How one can understand something wholly history while going about his normal day to day endeavors is one of the great secrets of the law.

Doesn't the size of the chalets in the distance really bring out the enormous size of the mountains and bring the full perspective to this picture. Lovely capture once again...

Wonderful vista, the reflection in the blue waters is awsome! Definately a place to pause and reflect on what makes good sci-fi. Definately give FarScape a chance, you won't be dissappointed. ;o]
