courage to change what can,
and wisdom to know the difference.
— Reinhold Niebuhr. This shot is an illustration of one of the many (little) disappointments we can have when shooting on location. It had intended to shoot the tree with blossoms against the blue (partly clouded) sky with a glimpse on the lake. Lowering my POV the tree was perfect but the lake disappeared. And standing on my toes the blossoms appeared in front of the trees on the background. Hmmm. Going to the left the lake disappeared, going to the right the tree destroyed the composition. Drawing closer was better for the lake, but the blossoms came in front of the trees again. Taking more distance made the lake disappear. Trying some combinations didn't help either. Long story, but this was the best I could make of it. It's just a demonstration that even with a lot of time we cannot always succeed in what we want, but please feel free to make a suggestion of something I overlooked! Well actually, although you may be feeling disappointed (because you had something else in mind), I like this picture very much. It immediately reminded me of "Heidi", a book we studied for our GCE English all those years ago! That apart, the combination of the meadow with all its little yellow spring flowers, the lake beyond, the mountains beyond that, the little "cove" effect, and the solitary little tree in blossom all work together to make a lovely composition that is most pleasing to look at. (I prefer this to the last couple you have uploaded recently.)

What a magnificent image! You make me home-sick for a place I've never been before! This would be an excellent candidate for a Post Card or a Greeting Card.

You know there is a lake..and we know it because you said so. If we did not know that, we just see what is on the image.. a beautiful landscape.

Quite an illustration of compromise, achieved because carefully attempted. And, I sow something like this in other of your images, I like the continuity of seasons, the iced peaks and the blossom tree.

I understand the disappointments with your explanations. But if you had said nothing, I would just have said that this picture is gorgeous. That's the first thought I had when I saw it. Now, I believe it must have been frustrating!
