Description

One day I will finish this render, but it's not going to be in the short-term, so thought I would post it in the current state. The model is Hunter (from DAZ), run through the HyperReal M3 script. Lighting is from an IBL image. I've also got 4 (instead of 20 in the prev render) specular lights - derived by putting the IBL image through HDRShop. I think his skin quality is the best I've been able to get so far - it's just he needs the lighting fixed up on his eyes, and the nose and mouth shadows tidied up. Because the spec only lights have no diffuse, they don't throw shadows - so that needs fixing too. One day he might grow some hair too.

An other masterpiece! Your IBL tweaking works.

Looks very good, the lighting is great. His chin is blurry and he has a shaving rash in the middle of it. His eyebrows are so perfectly shaped and cut/shaved just too well. Not sure whether that shadow on his bottom lip is his tounge. But really there's nothing wrong with it as far I can see. Cheers! (V)

Some damn-fine looking skin there! I also agree with your assessment of remaining tweeks (and RGUS on the brows).

This looks really good so far, Paul. Highly realistic! The skin is absolutely the best I've seen so far, and the morph work is just great! Just a little AO in the right spots, and possibly some raytraced or high res shadow maps in there, and you'll have a really unbelievable render here!
