Description

#03 of a series of 'Dusty old slides'. It is what it says, a dusty old slide. No nothing more about this vehicle other than what is painted and cast on it. An Aveling & Porter Ltd., steam powered and obviously chain driven wagon, which ran a daily service between Sydney and Mudgee, carrying sandstone, gravel and cement. (If that front tyre ever makes it.) It was built in England. The strange looking tyre seemingly on its own behind the wagon, is in fact the rear of a low loader trailer used to transport these vehicles. Scanned in from a transparency. Nikon Cool Scan. Colorized in PSP. Location unknown. Date about 1970? Minolta SRT101 with standard lens. Having a great weekend? I am and I hope you do :)
