OMG! Cass this is beautiful ; ) I'm so drawn to the unicorns eye, it makes such a strong focus in this delicate scene, beautifully painted & your flowers are as lovely as they always are too. What a wonderful gift for India, she must be so thrilled! Great work hugs ; )

Wow, this is truely magical. Bev is right, that eye has a brilliance to it and just looks so real it can't help but draw you on. I love those flowers too, so brightly coloured and pretty. It's a truely inspiring picture for an adorable little girl, and just the sort of thing to hang in her room for her to look at before she goes to sleep and when she wakes up. hugs

I always wondered when you'd come back to this ;-) hugest hugs I know you always say the photography never does justice to watercolours at all, but nevertheless I love the dynamic range of tone here, from the darkest almost-black blues to the virgin whites left untouched. The realism of the eye may be my favourite part, I agree with Bev, its highlight is just right. As always, so much detail to savour, and a beautiful present for any little girl. Cass, you know you are a pretty amazing artist! You know I love when artists are able to use many mediums, and you my friend excel in all I never tried to use watercolor on canvas, I didnt even know that it works, but I see your result is pretty stunning! This is a really charming and very beautiful picture India Rose will love it, and when she grows a little older she will really know what a great gift this piece of art is. WOW, Cassie! This is so beautiful I literally gasped when I saw it. India Rose is indeed very lucky, I'm sure she'll go wild over it! Thank you so much for posting this and turning what was shaping up to be a day from hell into a pleasant night. I am always amazed how you are able to master every medium, especially watercolor, which I've personally always found hardest. There is a strange solace looking into the soulful eye of the unicorn.
