Incredibly detailed and wonderfully mysterious mood; I was going to say I want to be there, but I'd probably get press-ganged onto that ship.

Phenomenal - The sky - the birds - the buildings - the attention to detail make this almost photorealistic and certainly a jaw-dropper. Great job and excellent work! V

Looks very good Ken. After looking over the first render, I did have reservations about the Victory model in the background. Once launched, a ship that size would not normally have been that close inshore, except to be repaired in drydock. Most ports would not be that deep close in, requiring a ship that large to anchor out in the bay. The smaller ship works better, I think. The birds on the left, in amongst the rigging are still very hard to see. Consider removing them. The flock on the right is okay, balances that area. The lighting is still not right. A cloudy day does not create such deep contrasting shadows, but diffuses the light lighting the entire scene. There are shadow areas, but not to this degree. The kind of lighting you need is a cloudless blue-sky day, which would match the shadows you have now. This is still a great image, I like the "ladies of the evening" hanging on the docks, or "doxies" (yes, that's where the term came from...). I think you should add some sailors leaning on the rails of the ship, the ship's watch, viewing the dock, and a sailor or two working aloft in the rigging, the ships look too empty without a few sailors in them.

Wow, this is just fantastic! Really captures the mood of the waterfront while still maintaining a very artistic look and view. A fine creative work and one of my favs. A vote is a small token for such a super achievement.:o) CC
