Taken last the night before last with my KodaK 330 .. (LOL here i have a new camera and all these colorful shots and I am posting this one). But it wouldnt leave me so I have to share it..
THis left a strong impression in my head so strong I cannot stop thinking of her ... one of the most beautiful dances I have ever witnessed.. I was looking at artwork in Venice beach and this lady runs up to me with drumsticks waving .."HAVNT YOU HEARD??!! OVER THERE GO OVER THERE!!!".. and so I walk toward the light of a setting sun.. . start hearing this remarkable sound... THere is this big Circle of what must have been 100 drummers beating away furiously-! It reminded me of Africa ...Ohh I have never heard such a powerful wonderous sound!! IT got louder , and louder , and LOUDER!! AFrican drums , Native American drums, bongos , Drums from India and China and they all were creshendoing into a louder and louder torment of powerful rythem ofspiritual fervor..!! Big ring of spiritual happenings I cannot compleatly begine to discribe.. In the middle of this ring of drummers are dancers -anyone who wanted to..danced with thier entire body , heart and soul!! Some of them were dressed exoticly.. some were plain but they just danced with all thier being.. !!!!!!!
This girl, moved me beyond words ...that you see in this picture above- had the most dramatic spiritual dance of all .. nothing else mattered but the drum-beat to her !! IT all was left behind and her body swung and moved in a beautiful way that grabbed my full attenetion.. and she was amazingly beautiful to me..and so, I snapped this shot as she raised her hear to the sky and swung her head back - it was like she was so compleatly FREE... I can not even begine to tell you how I felt ..SHE was simply and purley beautiful beyond words. Thanks for letting me share my experiance with you.

I don't know what happen. At first, I saw the image thumbnail size. Then it flash in front of me....seems like the drums got louder and BANG...its not a thumb nail anymore lol.... This girl is really into it. Excellent drum capture scene. Aloha

These dancers mostly end up in a trance, they really are spiritul dances and they do transcend any normal state, , fascinatin to see, and sometimes they dance all nite and often just drop down to the ground and need to be carry away. it is very movin to watch. Kimmers, it brings tears to my eyes!!!! i used to be a dancer...and i put my whole heart and soul into the music. you can see when someone is passionate about dance, and this young lady certainly is!!!! this one makes the hairs raise up on my arms!!! i luv her expression and how you caught the movement of her shawl! This is so dreamy, passionate, and just breathtaking!!!!!! i have to add this one to my favs!! this one makes me sooooo happy, and girl...i can feel the African beat, the rhythm, the and the joyful beat!!! Talk about catching something at just the right moment to get a complete effect, my friend you zeroed right in on this one.
