Description

Red Hill: As I climb down this Humuula Trail, others thoughts are running across my mind. This Red Hill far east of me seems to be calling my name and yet frowns at me at the same time. We will meet again in the near future my friend. Aloha and thank you for viewing.

What gives this hill such an exotic color? Clay or iron? Breathtakingly beautiful.

I had talked to the ranger up on Mauna Kea about this Red Hill and he said that it did have a lot of iron there. That Red Hill mountain is not very high in altitude (approx 9,000 ft elevation level max). Thanks for asking

Is it maybe a giant pile of red mashed potatoes? Careful! lol. Such an unusual colour.

I would be so tired climbing this one, probably need a jeep and then walk down. Do you climb it often? ann
