Description

For farmer Tom and his wife, Des, Sunday morning is reserved for church and rest--although on a western Nebraska farm, the livestock have to be taken care of before heading to town for religious services. As usual, the teenagers are the last to leave the house. Although Tom says nothing, as they climb into the car, they can tell that their father is feeling a bit unhappy with them. This picture is dedicated to all those hard-working farmers and ranchers who produce our food and get so very little for their efforts while middle-men and other businessmen profit at their expense. It is my first Bryce 5.5 picture. Credits: barbed wire fence: by Mark Feemster. I retextured it and thinned out the wire (and added an fourth string of wire to the fence). Windmill: I think it might be by Alan Gracia, but not sure. I retextured and added the water tanks and the waterpump. Corral fence, the barnyard, and haybales the barn: DAZ. Fordson tractor, John Deere tractor, Old Ford Truck, and small house: Sams3d.com Haywagon, terrains, field with crops and plowed field, and Shelter Belt (Small trees): by me. Dez and Tom (hidden in the car): Poser5 Don and Judy figures with head morphs created in the P5 Face Room by me. Teenagers: P4 Posette and Dork. 1936 Chevrolet Sedan: modeled by Donald Sielke; textures by me. Cows and their Textures: Cattle and their texture maps: Debra Ross. Horses: P4 Horse with textures by MoonRose. Postwork: PSP5. Thanks to all who have helped me to make this picture, and thanks to you for looking and for any constructive comments. Regards, Jeremy

Jeremy, this is great. Composition is perfect and you have captured the feeling of farm life. Keep it up.

Aye, a very ambitious scene! I like most everything, but some of the textures and ambience don't match up quite. Tractor tires ambience is up too high, car is too bright blue... But even so, the parts you modeled look good, and the scene is nice!

A wonderful scene. I like everything in it. Wonderful detail and shadows. Your words are so true! Yes, the big corporations get rich on the backs of the farmers and other hard working 'real' people.
