"Cry, 'Havok'! and let slip the dogs of war!
-- Julius Caesar Act III, Scene I: William Shakespeare --
Also....
from Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country - the war hungry Klingon General Chang (Christopher Plummer ) on a fully cloaked Romulan Bird of Prey to Adm. James T. Kirk aboard the bridge of the Federation starship, Enterprise, stardate 2587.3-ish... :?)
"What's so "civil" about war, anyhow"? - Axel Rose, 1992-ish
"The "War to end all wars" - WWI - now, how in the heck can a war END war? Seems to me it just creates more resentment down the road - doing something "wrong" to make something else "right" never works. Only love, respect and consideration for each other can end all wars.....IMHO...
I thought of a number of things as I made this. First, it looked to me like a scene of trench warfare from WWI - the "mustard gas", color of the spiral "soldiers" uniforms and "bayonettes", Then, when I added some texture to the background, I got sort of the vibe of WWII - the Normandy D-Day invasion. And then I almost named it "Master and Commander" as I got a sea battle vibe from it. Tough image to name - like fractal schizophrenia lol
Thanks for stopping by! - please be sure to don your gas masks b4 viewing this! (either because of the mustard gas - or maybe it stinks - lol)
BTW - I'm adding this late but - please let me know if you think this is too dark on your monitor. I just calibrated my monitor and it ended up with the brightness MUCH higher than what I had b4.

Most creative... the feel and vibe to this one are astonishing! Very dramatic, the colors are very striking by their dullness ... a dark stormy day and the touch of blood sends shivers.... outstanding work!

wonderful capture of the chaos of a shipwreck - i imagine that you see the unbearable force of nature from time to time and appreciate the power that is exposed
