Description

I got dragged off to a painting class last week - and had a ball! I didn't realise that with oil painting, you don't just paint, you apply the paint and push it around and merged it into the other colors. So ummmm, I tried to do the same with ZBrush on GI Jill (pushing polygon's rather tahn paint). Her hip and thighs have pretty much been rebuilt in order to get her looking ok in this pose. Also lots on work on her shoulders. If I rendered again, I'd smooth out her left thigh (need her knee). Lighting is 50% IBL, 50% infinites - thanks to MaxModels for supplying the missing jogsaw piece in getting this rig right. Shadows are soft ray-traced, with AO nodes glued into most of her materials. I used the Unimesh Realism Kit shader, but with some new sss stuff I'm playing with. Think I went overboard on the sss for this final render (see her right cheek). Getting the wall to merge into the background : Just set the floor (plane primitive) diffuse and spec to 0, and set the ambient color to the same as the background color. Then plug in an AO node to get the shadow. No postwork.

Hey hats_off ;-) This is the best looking body for this pose, excellent workaround for V3 limitations!!! Skin and lights are also superb! You have to look trough a big lens to find something on her cheek...FANTASTIC!!!! ~Uwe

Wow. She looks very real! I'm new to 3D stuff, but this is the first really realistic looking figure I've seen so far! You got my attention!

This came out really great, Paul. The shadowing on the skin and ground look just awesome. I think perhaps the ground shadows could be just a bit darker near her knees, but on the skin they're perfect! I'm really impressed by how the bikini top looks like it's really "fitted" to her body nice and snug, which of course enhances the overall realism! Oh, and SUPER job on the morphs. Great character.

Excellent job. I love the way her shoulders and upper arms look. That is my biggest complaint about the unimesh characters. Awesome character, and beautiful render! ;-)

Awesome render, and, as usual, your explanations are very helpful.

Awesome. But on to what you want...More fleshiness at the knees. Even a thinner girl would produce more bulge (climbers excempt). This might take the bow out of her thigh. And a twidgit at the shoulder/arm/chest joint (triangular fat). Side to side on her L hand is a few points past possible(turned out). Nice Martha Stuart green..lol. Tasteful and subtle. The clavs are your best meshmashing, imo. They really turn up and over properly and I just realized that this is an old figure of yours. Reworked with new experience. Is her nose bent? Awesome. Veins on forearms...;p. Now you're cookin
