Description

If you wait for me then I'll come for you Although I've traveled far I always hold a place for you in my heart If you think of me. If you miss me once in awhile Then I'll return to you I'll return and fill that space in your heart Together again It would feel so good to be In your arms Where all my journeys end If you can make a promise If it's one that you can keep, I vow to come for you If you wait for me and say you'll hold A place for me in your heart. excerpt from "The Promise" by Tracy Chapman Okay,I already know it's grainy. And I also know it's blurry. And yes I had it up once but I pulled it because it met with such a dismal response. But Sheila(tvernuccio) said something to me the other day that really hit me.She said she will post something simply because she likes it,even if it isn't perfect. And I really love this pic.It reminds me of an old movie still. So here it is again. Thanks ,Sheila, for helping me reset my priorities! :) Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!!!!!!!!!

Its a wonderful and very moody portrait!! I love it just because its not perfect - the grainy and blurry effect give it an individual touch and personality!! Its an excellent work!!!! :-))

A fine Image...looking like a Still from an Old Movie :]

Not everything photographed needs to be tack sharp especially a portrait. Yes, I also agree it looks like a film still from a 1940's movie. What makes this photograph precious is not that it is your child but the mood and private refelective moment of a teenager it represents. Thank you Sheila for the encouragement and thank you Marlene for reposting.

OMG, Marlene...i had NO idea you yanked this one! it got a dismal response? i don't see why or how 'cause when i look at it, well, it's just one of those images that goes straight to my heart & soul!!!! the grain is perfect here. Blurry? i never noticed. still don't. I'm drawn in by her deep, dreamy eyes and the intensity of her expression. i look at her and see myself. it's how i think i looked at her age, and i guess, in some ways, it's how i look now. I don't know what she's thinkin' about but i have a feeling it's important. Marlene, this one is soooooo very special, and i'm so glad you've put it back here. I'm glad that what i said made you decide to put it back here. this image is a treasure...one for you and your daughter to look back on and enjoy together. it's a beautiful moment in time you've captured! BTW, if i only posted my technically perfect images, my gallery would be empty!!!!!!!! :) You're a gift and so are your images...soulful. you can't do that in photoshop. it comes straight from YOU! into favs!

I like this picture, I like her expression and I like this poem. The (not wanted) grainy and blurry "effect" makes especially this picture perfect

This photograph made me recall woody Allen's movie "Manhattan". For me, his movies are favorite dishes. I enjoy a universal content and his comedy though I don't know about New Yorker well.
