Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

Beautiful image..I never saw one with crocussus in the wild... BTW don't you need an UV filter here ? The mountains seem very blue to me.

Yep this is the leaping off point for paragliding. I have watched the hanggliders swooping around the (cliff) chimneys at Aspen but here in the center of motorglider one needs to develop a new technique to avoid trampling the flowers and to even hover like a humming bird just above them. Maybe at first some sort of miniUAV with a camera. The snarl of a small two stroke could be heard all over the valley so it needs solar power and that is not much.

Endless depth...! Excellent POV and choice of focal width!

Beautiful crocuses. Great focusing. But, how did you get up there? I would have to come down backwards!

You're absolutely right!!! I'd love to take off from this place but I wouldn't... Because of the crocuses, yes! I would move close to the pines to lie my wing on the ground... (but, you know, I have to confess, paragliding guys are very very lazy people and our back-bag containing the wing, the seat, the helmet, the variometer, etc, is about 20kg! And the bag is not really made for walking, if you know what I mean. It looks more like a potatoes bag than a trekking bag! So, I would prefer to use the thermals to reach that place! ;-)

A broken diagonal of dark trees through which can be seen a fantastic scenery - clear from first crocus to last mountain. Excellent shot!

Oooh gorgeous!! I'm getting a little giddy from the POV, but that is marvelous!! I love the feeling of depth and height in this shot. The crocus are the 'icing on the cake' in this shot. Hang gliding? Sure! Just don't land on the crocus beds.

this wonderful view across the lake is better composed and there is more depth in it and less civilization! but the contrast of the colors in front and the back still is brilliant! simply a breathtaking impression! ;o)))

Wonderful crocuses and the slope seems so steep! Love this series but can't comment on each image because of time. Know that I enjoy viewing each one and the comments that go with them. :)
