Oh wow you finished it already! You know I love this Cass, I'm almost at a loss for words to tell you just how much, the anatomical & technical detail is stunning, his expression is so well done too, the thoughts that must be going through his mind! The subtle colour & texture add so much to the overall mood, less is definitely more there. Now I give up on inadequate words, I'm just going to sit & drool ; )

Cass, wow! Absolutely incredible! This piece leaves me at a loss for words. Everything is unspeakably perfect.... the positioning and expression of the figure is brilliant. I love your technique, his anatomy compelling - you just can't stop looking at that body and how the wings attach. The wings themselves are wonderfully mechanical and creepy. All is certainly very Da Vinci, especially the brush strokes and rich tonal scheme. Such beautiful work! Vote!!!!

Cass, you've "done a Bev" on me in that I'm finding it hard to put into words what I feel about this one! I told you how I loved it so you know already, but I have to say again here what a success this is, I love the restraint in colour and tone around that neutral warm grey and you've reproduced that aged mildewy look well L. I still don't see blue in there though, just a neutral cold grey which has the optical effect of looking bluish amid the warm greys L. Whatever, those details are such a treat and I can't help wincing at his surgical wing attachment, typically twisted of you my friend ;-) big hugs Thank you for creating and sharing :-) xxxxx

A fantastic merger of man and machine, I feel so sad for this desperate character and his ambitious attempt to fly, I guess we all chase dreams.

You numb me with your exceptonal talent to express such a lot of different feelings in one image. This one is to ponder a long time!

This reminds me of the early days of flight when dreamers tried all sorts of wacky ideas, and I guess many were inspired by Da Vinci. But this has a poingnant edge which communicates a sense of hopelessness. A realistic sort of fantasty image. Delicately rendered, as befits this lost dreamer. I can relate to this superbe pic...

I love the expression on his face - pondering all the possibilities of life! The most important thing is to believe in your dreams, how impossible they might feel. Leonardo believed, and we can see how his dreams have come true...:-) You've made such a wonderful work with this figure! Everything is thought so well, and drawn brilliantly! Incredible work of art! Thank you, Cassie, for sharing this strange dreamer with us. :-)

This guys reminds me of a play I once studied: 'Waiting for Godot.' I can't remember much of the play except that it was about two guys waiting for something to happen, much as this guys seems to be doing. His expression is just beautiful though, as there's so much there to see, is he waiting, is he asking, is he frowning, impatient, scolding, resentful... some combination of all? I really love his face Cassie dear, hugs hard I could sit and stare at it all day wondering what he's thinking... wait! I just now noticed his jaw seemed kinda tilted to one side, as if he was asking, why me? Man, you've really done it now, I have to keep looking at it some more!
