I'm not really sure how this happened... I was experimenting with Mark Townsend's Druid Julia and ended up lost in space... ;) UF3 for image... frame and sig in PSP.
Many thanks to all of you for your wonderful comments and thoughts on my previous works. It's always a delight to discover that we don't all "see" the same things in an image... and it makes me sit back and take another look after reading your feedback. Thank you!! :) Hugs! Helen

I love those "sock it to me" colors and the almost metal texture on the ringed thing. Beautiful background as well!!

It has been a very profitable voyage, the trading lucrative and plentiful. Returning to the vicinity of their homeworld the ship drops out of hyperspace and starts to slow for the final descent, particles of energy still glowing from the passage through time. Magnetic fields bend upon themselves, exciting atmospheric molecules into different quantum states as planetary sensors detect the anomaly that announces their arrival. No one will be waiting, only the mechanical warehouses that will replenish their supplies and merchandise. The next departure will be soon, there is more work to be done. The inhabited worlds are all growing and moving outwards, the trade routes more complex every cycle, but no one minds. It is their life, they know nothing else, and yet they are satisfied. There are few others that know the freedom of living between the stars and planets, of almost instantaneous travel where life is replenished as time ceases to exist and physical bodies are reborn and refreshed again and again.
