Description

The basic fractal shape here was wrestled out of Toby Marshall's "Newton Twirl". I spent more hours than I want to admit on gradient creation... cuz if I told you guys the truth you'd know for certain that I haven't dusted or vacuumed anything since I started this... lol! I'm not sure if there is actually a special task force devoted to dust bunny detection and interdiction ... but let's just say that if there is, and if they raid this place, I'm gonna be doing some serious time... ;)

UF3 for fractal with frame and sig in PSP. Thank you all so much for your wonderful feedback on my space ship thing... I try to steer clear of sci-fi stuff because I only ever saw one episode of Star Wars (the original, I think... with Kirk and Bones and Scotty and Spock) and for weeks afterward I answered every question put to me with, "Captain! These engines canna take much morhra that!"... which was just before Spock had to report to sick bay with the bends... lol! Then... a couple of weeks after that, someone emailed me an mp3 of William Shatner singing "Mister Bo Jangles" ... and I just couldn't take him seriously as a star ship commander any longer.... ;) Anyway... thanks a bunch for putting up with my ramblings and for having a peek at this one! Hugs!! Helen

There's a saying I adhere to religously 'I don't do housework because I've got a life' I give the 'pooter monitor the once over now and again, otherwise the dusty screen plays merry hell with the gradients! You must have got loads more satisfaction on completion of this little beauty than a vacuumed rug or dusted sideboard, Helen! LOL William Shatner & Bo Jangles - go here to hear him murdering Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds http://www.milkandcookies.com/links/29841 - with funny anime.

Beautiful, Helen, and more than worthy of the "no cleanind" award which is eventually awarded to all fractal artists! I love the colors, in particular! Excellent image!

ROTFL!! You guys are right... it was Star Trek... which just shows to go ya that I have no business dabbling in anything Sci-Fi! Thanks so much for the revelation... I think I'll stick to watching Mr. Shatner in Boston Legal... have any of you seen that? He's absolutely perfect for that role... and... best of all... he doesn't sing... ;) You guys are the best!! Thank you!! xoxoxox

don't waste your excellent artistic talent on dusting as long as they don't find out some more creative way of housecleaning.. The gradient is just jawdropping gorgeous...

My favorite Star Trek scene was from the movie Star Trek IV where Scotty is trying to talk to a computer back on 20th century Earth. Of course it doesn't respond, so someone, I don't remember who, tells him to use the mouse. He picks it up and speaks into it like a microphone and still the computer doesn't respond. They tell him to use the keyboard and finally he types in something that makes sense. I just got home after working 14 hours today so I'm not making any sense at all right now. Beautiful image, the subtlety of the colors is magnificent, as is the delicacy of the form. Don't remember who did that song but I can remember the chorus pretty well.

Sorry, Helen, but I love those SciFi series. And that scene of Scotty that Redbeard is talking about: it was hilarious. But then again: we have had a prime minister a couple of years ago who didn't know how to get to a certain point on a computer with the mouse either. And it was shown on television. He took some lessons after that... Anyway: lovely image :-D Well worth your time. The dust can wait. It just doesn't do anything else.
