Description

Playing sports is fun. Winning is even more fun! Especially when it's me getting the goblet. What am I gonna do with it? Because it's not only great to look at, but ... it's also great to experiment! It works like a wide angle lens although the surface is not as smooth as I had hoped. I put it in our garden and try to take some distance by using the telelens aimed at the goblet. And here you are, a wide angle shot with a telelens where you can see me sitting on the grass! If you would have a perfect reflecting sphere you can use it simply as a wide angle lense. It's the world inside out, so you have to mirror the result to get the view as you intended it to be. Minolta X-700 (Agfa CT 100, 300 mm and (LOL!) goblet)

Experiments is always good to further your knowledge in anything. I wish I knew more about the technical part of the camera but for now, meet me down the pub JC and lets see how that Whiskey works. Have a great week-end. Aloha

Yes, keep on going experimenting cause this is the only way to reach new levels in photography. And it doesn't matter if hundreds of photos are not completely satisfying if there is one image you can be really proud of...

Great method and explanation. I have done similar things using reflections on cars and other objects. Too bad they are never as sharp or clean as we would like them to be. Still, a really neat wide angle image!
