Hi there, I hope you enjoy my works, I'll do my very best. ;o)BIOWell I started with photography only 2 yrs ago; I've been "Mother Nature's Son" since I grew up, but finally I'm patient enough to "fetch" my sightings on chip, using a Canon DSLR and several lenses. Main focus is Insects/Macros but I love all kind of birds as well. And if there's a nosy squirrel who wants to get a mugshot, I won't deny, heheh. ;o)
My other big hobby is rendering; started 3 yrs ago with Poser 4 and Vue 4. My first "works" were rather simple and not too keen... will get Vue 5 these days and Poser 5 in about 3 weeks and well, let's see what kind of pics will come out then.
Thx for stopping by and I hope you like my works!
Regards, Karsten

Congrats to this start. Looks excellent already. Two things io would change. #1 is the white stone to the left. Change the texture - it takes away attention from the center. #2 what is a little confusing is the close-up nature of the foregrounds - the ducks - but the wide view one has onto the background. How about reducing the background. Bring some grass closer to the ducks and "close" the background with grass. My 2 cents only of course!

Nicely Done! :B eaver !

Great job for a first "combo" image! I agree with wabe about the rock, and I'd look at the relative sizes; the background seems too close to be that small...you don't really feel there's any distance between the ducks and the terrain and trees.

May be the water is too smooth, while ducks are moving. Agree with the lack of scale in perspective. Why this white rock on the left ?!???!! Keep going with the ducks (and your girlfriend too)

Great first "dive" into both poser and vue! You have done a lot right away with new software! :) I see you used the water with the water plants on it... that is why the water is so smooth.. (and I am not a good one to talk about water, I have yet to really get a hand with vue water!). I get the feeling the camera may have been changed.. the "mm" or focal lenght? That could cause the distortion.. I personally don't change the camera thingy... and have to admit I love seeing my ducklings in any water! ;) Just keep playing with and enjoying the discovery process- you are on your way! :)

Lovely composition. Colors and lighting are great.
