Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

I definately don't want to get any closer to the edge. There's a real sense of height with the clarity in the foreground and the slight mist haze in the distance. Kastakan

i think ,it's also the opposition between white snow (closer) and the green valley (far) which adds tension! Good photo indeed, but for me the best were these with crocus.

This give me the butterflies looking down. Very dangerous standing next to the edge. Most excellent job. Aloha

It is the kind of photgraph where you are happy to have viewers who love beauty and are curious about high places and never have to answer the business question "What is the purpose of the this photograph?"

Great compo indeed... some tiny humans halfway the slope would make the scale more recognizable... make the shot even more majestic!

The diagonal certainly adds tension as I feel it pulling me into the image. A wonderful effect!
