Description
The race is about to begin and all canoe's are called to the starting line. The young children approximately 13 and under race first. Their race is 1/4 mile long, or once down the lane. Adults depending on the age race 1 mile or more. Each canoe has two adults accompaning the racers to the starting line. There they jump into the water and hold the canoe steady until the start of the race. These kids really put their heart and soul into paddling, and their team mates on the shore really shout and cheer them on. The Koa canoe's are really impressive once they are in the water.
