At some point I realized that my artwork was saying something on a symbolic level - in a symbolic language. Soon after I was turned on to Carl Jung (the famous Swiss psychologist) and I began to understand the process that we all go through to become more of who we already are but don't know just yet - the technical term for this is individuation - some might refer to it as a spiritual awakening - and still others will simply call it life - whatever name you want to use... I began to feel connected to everthing in a way I'd never felt before and I developed a sense of purpose in my being. As I began to show my artwork to friends I found that it was somehow tapping into their collective unconscious - they understood at a deep, profound level. This was especially true with my magic circles. A mandala is a universal archetype that transcends time and is shared by all cultures in history. The authentic mandalas are spontaneously manifested from the unconscious and when a person concentrates on one it can create a state of introspective reflection (or meditation) that is helpful in the personal process of becoming whole (or more of who we already are). I feel compelled to share my art and my soul with the world - enjoy!
