Subject: Preliminary Victoria 3 renders (with Daz's permission)

Hi there, Here is another shot showing some of her new clothing material zones to be used with Spandex, STockings, Gloves etc. Also shows the new conforming hair. It is the hair I showed months ago but has been reworked as a fully conforming figure in the tradition of the old Conforming Curls. Long her figures can be made for her where they Couldn't on Vicki 1 & 2. The hair hair stays on the body and moves with the neck, shoulders, and head. Question: No she isn't in Platinum Club but Platinum CLub Members get to weild their helfty bonus discount. Old poses are partially compatible but they won't make full use of her improvements. You sould make new poses to really make the most of her. It is like using Possette poses on Vicki 2.

Just a curious question that popped into my head: Can she wiggle her toes?

pdxjims ( ) posted Tue, 17 December 2002 at 6:02 PM

hmmmph... She's still not on sale. Grumble... Checking daily. Of course, I'd love to see the hinted "Male Morphs". And I'm waiting for Mike 3. As always, I'll buy her the first day. Along with the new clothing pack and first textures. Sigh... It's gonna be a cold Christmas for the kids. No - wait. I don't have kids! Yippee!

PheonixRising ( ) posted Tue, 17 December 2002 at 6:04 PM

PS: Just to be clear she isn't wearing clothing. Just a few material colors and a eweave map to those material zones. Pdxjims, Though her toes are not parts like the fingers, there are a bunch of wiggle, aticulation, shaping, and movement morphs for the toes. So yes they wiggle. :) Anton

Mosca, Noone is trying to ignore you. This isn't a full Press release. :) Just started as a few renders. We're crazy busy tring to finish her. It depends. If the curvature and crease of a vagina is what you mean then you will be happy. If you are wanting an opening that you can see inside then no. Anything more than the shape of a vagina takes her into the sex doll area. If he have a vagina, people will then want more detail in there and morphs to open it and close it. Next thing you know they want maps and props and are making it Mimic compatible. We all know a huge part of the Poser community is making adult content. We have gone the way of abnormally large breasts but a morphing vagina is not how we want to market her. There is enough geometry to morph an opening but we are not going to be the ones to do it. :) She is unwrapped well enough to texture it as well in that area. Hope this clears it up. I said way more than I should but just to put it plainly it can be done but someone else will have to make the morphs. :) As far as the packs go we are still sorting the content. no info to give you. Hope this helps. Lol. I love you guys but your relentless. LOL Off to sleep soon. LOTR tomorrow, Anton

PheonixRising ( ) posted Tue, 17 December 2002 at 7:16 PM

Okay I just gave her a full exam. Yes she has, with morphs, a Vaginia. Lips and little folds. Like the ears there is no cavity. More of a Vaginal Crease. Happy? :P I am so embarrassed.........not really. So much for discretion and dignity. I have never used the word vagina so many times in one paragraph. :) PS: Don't dare ask for pictures... LOL

Mosca ( ) posted Tue, 17 December 2002 at 7:19 PM

Thanks, Anton, but to be honest a crease doesn't sound all that promising--women don't have creases, they have vaginas. I'm not asking for open/close morphs (no plans to perform a V3 pelvic exam), just the same degree of anatomical detail present in Mike--the external stuff; clitoris, labia majora and minora. I really don't understand the reluctance, especially given Mike 2's highly detailed equipment, complete with various sizing morphs. The morph/pack issue is problematic, too--I'm not going to be a happy camper if I have to buy 37 aftermarket morph packs to get the complete V3 package.

Mosca ( ) posted Tue, 17 December 2002 at 7:21 PM

Woops--looks like we cross-posted. Ok, cool, thanks--just tell me the morph-pack thing isn't going to suck.

Mosca,

I don't want you to develope a complex or anything:) We are currently working out the pricing structure so I have not wanted to reply until we have it locked down. But in the meantime, here is a brief answer to your question without the pricing. The base figure will have morphs to improve posing as well as the spandex morph and the facial expressions and phonemes. We will also have a body morph add-on set and a facial morph add-on set to get all of the versatility that you would expect. I can say that the pricing in our oppinion is very agressive and will provide a good opportunity for customers of varying budgets to buy in at a level that they are comfortable with.

I fear I may have created my own quirky reputation here at Renderosity. Several members probably expect me to ask the following question. Let me not disappoint them. Will one of the morph add-on packages allow me to "mutate" her into an anthropomorphic character, say a felinoid? Actually the existing ones for Victoria 2 work decently enough, especially with the right textures (ie, the "Fantasy Feline" pack), except for the ears. Will you release a pack that will create a more animalistic or feral appearance with truer cat-like ears? Hey, if the others can ask about, ahem, feminine anatomy, surely I shouldn't be chastised for asking this. ;-) Sincerely, Bill

Dan, I think the way you're doing the morphs separately is great. This allows consumers not to have to pay for some of the morphs they don't want, and it also allows us to avoid unwanted morphs eating RAM. I mean, we've all got our own thing, and I'm probably gonna take a pass on the "hideously obese" Vicki pack, if it is available. I'm still stoked about that wrist tendon. :-) And Anton, your recent image makes the new mat zones quite clear (and logical). I definitely jumped the panic gun on that one. Thanks again. Hi there. Here is a pic with the feline face and ears on. I didn't turn any body dials. As you can see we fixed the twist dials on Vicki's arms and legs so her limbs don't deform like a corkscrew when they twist. We release when ever we are able to. Midwest 9-6 usually Mon - Fri. Injection works on Mac, Poser 5, ProPack, etc. Injection at this resolution takes several minutes but it so work it. I particularly like being able to remove morphs with them. I don't use phoenemes so I never installed them. I am reluctant to show the male morph yet because we don't have a male texture done. He might look silly. I'll try. Anton

Suppose it could be rounded a bit in post, but... The knewws appear much better, at least from this angle..the rest is fabulous

Yes Dave it can be tweaked. There are morphs. I like the way the arm creases. It is a pretty crease though. Mine does do that. :) If you don't like the elbow you can morph it. Don't worry about sounding negative. She is a good as we could build her using Poser's system. We have reached this software's limits. Sorry if that is a bummer in some way. I'd still like to know whether she'll accept new IK's better than previous versions. There are at least two alternative IK's and one additional that are practically essential and at the moment none of the millenium figures can do this as well as Eve...

I do wish there was some way to make POser figures bend their legs (like this sitting position) without having it look as if the legs are just stuck onto the hip. I've always hated that crease. That elbow bend is lovely though. Much more natural, and no crunchies

Momcat, I'm sure you know taht there are shaping morphs so let me anwer this a different way. We created a huge array of complete ethic faces to be used as bases as well. The Ethnic faces were made uniquely by hand oppose to using the existing shaping morphs. This way more varieties of faces are possible. The faces, like this one, can be created by simply blending the enthnic morphs. Or you can launch into your own from that starting point.

The statements "We have reached this software's limits..." and "Sounds like you are also ready for something without posing limitations.", are very interesting statements, Particulary coming from DAZ. I hope DAZ has something in mind, because DAZ in in a position to do "something" about the "posing limitations". I'm "ready for something without posing limitations". Bring it on DAZ, you're the company that can do it.

Momcat ( ) posted Wed, 18 December 2002 at 10:52 AM

That is a nice eye shape. It's not so easy to get a narrow, or deep crease on the existing figures without having the eyeball clip through. Are the ethnic morphs going to be packaged seperately, and will they be sets of seperated morphs, or full face morphs to blend? What I mean is; will I be able to mix a french nose, with slavic cheekbones, nordic eyes, and a thai mouth; or would I be working with whole face shapes to try to achieve the effect I want? It sounds like you folks at DAZ have really been working hard to give us as versatile a figure as possible. I like the idea of breaking the morph packages up into themes (if that's how you're doing it). It will save a lot of space and be much less confusing if you only have to have the parameters you need installed for a given character. How will this affect distribution of new characters? I imagine it will make things even easier.

Philywebrider ( ) posted Wed, 18 December 2002 at 10:54 AM

V3 looks like a terrific product, she can be used in commerical products like, book covers, cards, etc, correct? I hope with all the morphs/plugins/add ons etc, it is not a problem.

I love my Vic2 but you have made so many improvements, those awful brows are gone, the eyes, lids, lashes and shadows cast within the eye itself look so much better, good reflections too, the nostril glow is gone, eyebrows look real, neckline is excellent, she's just lovely. Thanks again for sharing all these renders with us, I think this is the longest thread I've ever read. :o)
