Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 02 5:01 am)
Hi and thanks, I guess I'm talking about transmapped hair for P4. Sorry I don't yet understand how that works....I'm going to guess that it is just an object mapped with a hair-like transparency - no actual geometry that shows as opaque....Yes? How would that work in another 3D soft like Cinema 4D? Just put it into both the color and the alpha channels??? Thanks again.
Transmapped hair has real geometry. It is fit to the head in Poser. The textures are applied the same as for any other geometry you have. The transparency map goes in the renderer's alpha channel, yes. Some hairs have several layers, each of which is transmapped which can make it a bit complex but hair is basically handled the same as any other object for 3d rendering. (except Poser 5 hair)

Hi, I need a short hairstyle or a complete hair pkg for Vicky but I want to render it in Cinema 4D. Are the hair pkgs rendered OK in other software besides Poser? Any suggestions about which one to get? Much thanks, archrendr
