is the pale victoria for V3???? the way you describe making a new 2d-texture...did you make the texture yourself? The mapping is incorrect...or not mapped for the figure.... Also, there are head textures or body textures. You must use a V3 head texture on V3 head...V3 body texture on V3 body.... If this is a texture for a different figure, it will not work until other things are done.... There is quite a bit more to the whole deal, but lets start here.... you may want to check out this tutorial http://arcana.daz3d.com/tutorials/co/co02/01.html

Ah, ok thnx for the feedback, I d/led the texture from FreeStuff and I didn't know you couldn't use it with the V3. So if I downloaded a tex. map for V3 my above method would be correct? cause it just wraps the whole picture around her face and doesn't place the head picture on her head etc. Oh well, guess I'll read some tuts then :P
yep...use v3 to v2 figure, then that text will work.... otherwise, V3 textures will work for v3 the way you applied them.... Just to confuse the heck out of you, there is another way to make the v2 textures work on the v3 model....check the DAZ site for the instructions...or i think its included in the v3 readme file....I haven't tried it, but several here have---it involves settting up new uv parameter using uvmapper or another uvmapping program....

I've tried to apply the Pale Victoria texture images to Victoria 3, by selecting the head in the Material Room, selecting the node next to Diffuse Color and making a new 2d-texture Image_Map, then importing the whole image. The image I get is the one I posted here. What am I doing wrong? And please, Im a newbie at this ;)
