I bet you thought I'd forgotten this right? Well I finally got them done. There are seven Zip files for colors, plus the Shared textures and Eye textures. If you download only one color, you need to get the eye and shared as well, or you won't have a complete set of all the maps. Note: there are maps in the shared zip to use as bumps if you like. If someobody wants to make MAT files that would be great. As it is, you have to apply the textures yourself. Photoshop 6/7 users: You know that bumpmap I mentioned? well guess what - if you make that into a pattern and use it in a Emboss layerstyle as a texture ... you can make your own dragons any color you like :) (I'd suggest using the scalemap set to hardlight at 40% to make the scales pop out more) Lyrra "Because I can, that's why" Madril

Lyrra, Bikermouse, seeing the makings of a Superhero, trys to teach Brendan Walker the patented bikermouse stance. . . . I'm gonna keep trying - I'm sure he's got it in him. Oh, you meant the dragon textures? Well o.k., but Mr Walker is goona look kind of silly with dragon textures.

Thanks again for the opportunity to DL Brendan and the dragon textures,

  • TJ (btw I used your fur bmp for the bikermouse)

Meanwhile, far away in a moderately warm volcano, a lone figure watches bikermouse training the new hero on his large, and heat resistant, computer monitor . . . "So, bikermouse thinks that he's gonna steal my fire, eh? Armed with these new textures I, Daz Lee Dragon, will make short work of him and his new apprentice Brendan Walker!"

So begins the saga.

Lyrra ( ) posted Tue, 07 January 2003 at 3:06 PM

uh Bikermouse? you used an old DAZ dragon texture on the New DAZ dragon .......

bikermouse ( ) posted Wed, 08 January 2003 at 9:30 AM

Lyrra, Yeah, I figured that out - went into uvmapper and I couldn't match up the textures . coises, foiled again . . . but I got a better idea of how to use uvmapper so all was not lost. ... and Brendan is coming along fine in his hero training - soon he'll be ready to choose a costume and come up with a heroic name - right now he's torn between Accountantman and Sienfeldman. . . .and meanwhile it the heart of a moderately warm volcano, a rather large repillian figure shrugs and thinks, " Ah well, since the textures don't fit me, Brendan can wear them all he wants - but I will be watching him... " thanks again, - TJ

Well Brendan already has a parttime gig in Germany as a vampire hunter .... and several Very Close Friends from Renderotica ...

Lyrra, Goes to show you - well, a second job couldn't hurt, but I did wonder how he was able to throw me when I tried to teach him judo. anyway I'm happy that my mistake has taught me to finally how use UV mapper to make texture maps. Perhaps now I can start working on textures. (the above just to show you that I got the idea of uvmapper. A red wing membrane texture with some writing on it.) Thanks, -TJ
