Does anyone know of a program that can generate images with an organic quality similar to the clouds in the attached foto?

...aside from handcrafting such cosmic clouds in a 2D program...dunno...and for ideas as to what 3D or fractal generating program that might create these motifs/shapes, I suggest you cruise on over to either pandromedia.com...or over to the MojoWorld discussion forum here at Renderosity...or at 3D Commune, and address your question directly to "Doc" Ken Musgrave...as he might be able to point you in the right direction...

Hi, Some time ago I made nebula in Ultrafractal (see the attached link). This was before the apparition of fbm colorings, so I think it could be possible to do something more realistic now. Samuel

If you have either Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, the filter plugin called "Glitterato" by Flaming Pear will create these for you. http://www.flamingpear.com/glitterato.html

Gleitterato is pretty cool, but it doesn't give me that 3d feel... Thanks, -g

There are a few ways to make really good clouds. What I find myself using a lot, besides Flaming Pear's Glitterato, is the Sky Effects filter in KPT 6. Also, ULead has a nice little plug in called Particle which makes very nice clouds, as well. And finally, Photoshop has an innate filter which also works well. I hope this helped.

There are several 'plasma' formulas in UltraFractal 3 that develop 'clouds.' That is one of my favorite hubble pics!

Fractals will always amaze me!
