Yes, another one. This one is based on a toy I bought my stepson to keep him from stealing my Darth Maul lightsabre. It's not a 'real' lightsabre in the having movie time sense. I've provided two versions. One has telescoping plastic blades like RL toy lightsabres have, and the other has 'real' lightsabre blades. Both have 'Off' dials for each blade and an 'Off' dial for both blades at once.

What is so fasinating about the Lightsaber that you must create a version of every single one out in the entire existance of this planet? Please don't get me wrong, your models are great, very detailed, really nice work...I don't think I could have done, more than 3 without pulling out my hair and eyeballs. I'm just curious as to what fasination they hold for you? Pssst How about the Stormtrooper gatling laser cannon from Hoth scene? (looks like a gatling gun I think Kenner made a toy of it in a Hoth set in the 80's)

Hi Dodger Most entertaining. "The force is strong with this one" I had NO idea there were so many. I just remembered that the bad guys usually had red light and the good guys' had blue or green light.

Tri-Pod Laser Cannon model could be useful PLUS **haha** it's a Star Wars GUN!!! okay, just really don't want to have to try and model it myself **looks down sheepishly**

Bikermouse, Are you sure that's a schwartz ring? Have you put it in the fire and checked for unintelligible (but quite graceful) writing? Are you the only one who can see the ring? Is the ring the only one who can see you? MachineClaw, IIRC, every Jedi Knight built his own lightsabre. If so, that would allow for a LOT of variations in colors, handle designs and materials. If I were to build my own lightsabre, it would resemble a scalpel compared to these cumbersome loppers and choppers. Carolly

bikermouse: as to people seeing you, there's always the Mace Windu solution -- Mace Windu uses a blacklight lightsabre -- that way everyone else who has anything day-glo or white on lights up like a Christmas tree. May not be invisibility, but it does make you the same amount less visible than everyone else in a roundabout sort of way B^) Machineclaw: I dunno, just like making 'em, especially when I'm neeind something to do but son't want to think much. It's sort of my vesion of 3-D doodling, I guess, and people like the results, so why not? Besides, this time I thought it would be cool to make a toy one with toy blades. The 'real' blades were just stuck on to provide the option to use eit as a 'real' lightsabre. B^) I'll go ahead and give the machinegun a go if you can get me better a reference pic -- that's pretty small and fuzzy. LD: You mean these?

It was basically a really cheap flashlight with an inflatable plastic blade attached. The blade would rupture at the slightest sign of horseplay, so it was practically useless beyond one or two parries. Due to the dubious durability, it's quite rare and therefore a hot collector's item.

_dodger, I was thinking more IR . . . that way I could project a HUGE widespread IR beam and thus rendering IR nightvision glasses useless, broadcasting widespectrum microwaves beams disabling GPS and throwing my voice to make it sound as though I'm somewhere I'm not. but that UV thing sounds ok too I guess. Of course with my luck Id get stuck in one of them baseball movies like "Buffy the Umpire Slayer" or "the Umpire Strikes Back" - TJ

Since we are talking about toy lightsabers, I had one that I recieved stiches from once. I haven't seen one for years, it was a hard yellow or red plastic ( reminds me of the good whiffle bats), they whistled when swung. I had whooped up on a younger brother and then he whooped up on me.

Nope it's not Darth Maul's. It's a knockoff that's not Star Wars at all. That's why I made it with toy blades and stuff.

I think that if it'sbased on Ronald Ray Gun's Star Wars technology, then it would have to be a lightsabre that doesn't exist, but we say it does, so the Russians spend a lot of money to build their own lightsabre that does exist but doesn't work.
