This piece of artwork I think is the best thing I have done thus far, please any ideas or critique please reply either on this forum or at http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=325545, where the picture is at.

Thank you

First it's a fine image so don't take anything to personal. To improve it you have the scale of the dead trees wrong and that is why they look all white. You should make them smaller and move them closet to the camera. Now if that was the effect you where after then fine. It works for me.

I think it's a good scene. For suggestions, I don't think the scale of the trees is the issue; it's the atmosphere. There appears to be a lot of light colored haze and ambient light in the scene, which causes things to fade to white very quickly away from the camera. I think that has a bad impact on your image. My suggestion would be to reload the scene and go into the atmosphere editor. First, check the fog and haze settings; perhaps tweak them around a little, at least the density. Then go to teh sunlight settings and see what happens when you change the balances and settings away from ambient and more towards sunlight. I think you will come up with more natural light in your scene, which will help. Two other things I noticed; the background (beyond the dead trees) is bare. Maybe something in the far distance? Also, the things on the water up front (lilypads?) don't look natural to me, and don't add anything to the scene. You may want to look for something else to use there, or see how it looks without them. I think the scene is very good, you've done a great job placing the vegetation, and the pov through the reeds is real interesting! Keep up the good work! I've learned a lot from tips and suggestions from other people, that's what helps us all improve.

Nice scene. I think the trees are too white. I might loose the tree on the right, just to make it a bit more asymetrical, and maybe add something flying in the air (a dragonfly close up or a bird in the distance - or maybe a snake swimming with it's nose just out of the water) to add a bit of interest. But I think it is fine, overall. jon

The trees look much better and the bird provides a nice focal point. The mountains sort of overwhealm the scene to my way of thinking, though I suppose it's possible. Nice job. jon

Ya I would say work on those hills more. Such a scene is probibly not possible in the real world and that is why it looks the way it does. If you had hard rocky without plants type mountains meaning very little soil there will not be a bog at the bottom of them. I would smooth them out a bit and use a different texture that implys more growth on them. Something that would match a bog theme. If you do not smooth then out a bit then the only way it would work is move them farther in the distance so they don't look like there so close to the camera. I live in the mountains. They're never that perfect in a view. They bleed to the sky color cause of there scale.

ok I think im gonna get rid of the mountains and prolly put a bank with trees on them or ill make it so the bog is in the middle of a forest thank you
