Subject: Love good support

Marque ( ) posted Sat, 15 February 2003 at 6:21 PM · edited Thu, 09 January 2025 at 10:10 AM

Create a product, advertise it as having something it doesn't have, customer asks about it and it told it will be in a future pack or "maybe" free. When customer gets upset the person who created the product and sold it now blocks customer from emailing them for further support. I won't say who this was, they know full well who they are. Just be aware that I will never make the mistake of buying from you again. Rip me off once, shame on you...rip me off twice...shame on me. I am now shamed. Marque

No actually, if she is going to make that type of an accusation then she should put it all on the table so we can see all sides of the story, before she starts speculation and starts damaging someone's reputation, even in an IM...that's BULLSHIT Marque. To me, if you don't have the balls to mention all the parties involved, then you should keep your mouth shut. All you are doing is stirring the pot kiddo... I'm pretty sure I know what product and what merchant you are speaking of and if it's true then what you are saying is nothing more then childish "I want what I want when I want it" There was no false advertising, nothing promised that wasn't in the package. Just a mention of a freebie at a later date. You should take it to the right forum at the right site instead of start crap over here. Deal with it where it belongs. The fact that it didn't coinside with when you wanted it, tough bananas baby..deal with it, grow up, and learn to respect the hard work of others and the fact that even merchants have a life outside of the Poser Community. And if it matters at all, the item you are so hot for is up now someone was NICE ENOUGH to take time from their weekend to make sure it was up for you. This may sound harsh and if it does good...it needs too...we all need to take a step back and realize that just because someone is a merchant for the Poser community doesn't mean we OWN them. I'm beginning to think that some in the Poser Community suffer from the "squalling, spoiled brat" syndrome. Pendarian

Sorry, if you advertise something for sale and you don't give it I don't call that being a spoiled brat, I call it bad business. Never intended to tell who it was, since I can't email them I wanted them to know how upset I am, so now they know. Nothing to do with NICE ENOUGH, if you sell it make sure your product is complete and you won't have this happen to you. Don't jump in when you don't know all the facts pendarian. Marque

pendarian ( ) posted Sat, 15 February 2003 at 10:00 PM

The product was complete Marque....the freebie was promised at a later date. I do have my facts straight Marque more then you know. The product was complete...I tested it. The merchant didn't conduct bad business, what you "demanded" has now been supplied to you, but I'm sure you won't even care to acknowledge that in your bid for blood. If you wanted them to know how upset you were, then try posting over at the store forum where the product is and not in a forum that they might not even read. Or try an IM instead of an email. Play fair, and try to handle it properly instead of coming over here and stirring the pot on a quest for satisfaction. I don't have any issue with the fact that you are upset because you feel cheated (except you are WRONG the product was sold as advertised)...I have issue with the fact that instead of you taking it to the correct site, you haul ass over here as soon as you can to proclaim it loud and clear to everyone that "someone has screwed you and you want satisfaction NOW" causing speculation and possibly hurting a good merchant simply because you didn't get your freebie when you wanted it. And then someone takes time from their weekend and makes sure it's put up and you don't even have the good graces to thank them publicly or let everyone know that the issue has been resolved. Let's put it in perspective, it's not the product you're upset about, it's the freebie that wasn't there soon enough for you. And the product just came out when, Thursday, please give me a break!! Again, I have to say to you, just because someone is a merchant for the community does not mean we OWN them. They have a right for some time off with their families and I'm sure they would have been more then happy to help you as soon as they could or someone in their stead could. And don't give me the analogy of the "squeaky wheel gets results" I'm pretty sure you were getting results before you decided to post over here. Basically, I just have a real problem (especially in light of what just happened between Rena, BVH and LSM) with the way you handled this. Threads like this can start witch hunts if you aren't too careful. Pendarian

Gee Pendarian, I would have thought Marquee was referring to Poser 5.

I have never said who or what it is so how would a merchant get hurt unless you say what it was? I have every right to be upset, you have not been burned by this person before, and he would have burned me again according to the email I got from him if I hadn't complained about it to the store where I bought it. It wasn't until then that he decided to make it a freebie. I never said I owned anyone if I buy the product, just that I expect what the ad states. According to his first email he was NOT going to make it free, he was going to release it in another package. So until you get both sides WITHOUT obvious bias, you should stay out of it. I have not hurt anyone's reputation, and will not by way of this forum, I.M. or email tell anyone who or what it was. Subject closed, that is if you will allow it to be. Marque

pendarian ( ) posted Sun, 16 February 2003 at 1:13 AM

No, you never said you owned them, but your behaviour in this situation implied it, which is sometimes worse. I know what product and whom you are speaking of Marque and which store. I know what you said and what was said to you, so I have all of the story. And you weren't going to get "burned" by anyone, anymore then you got "burned" by this person the first time...yeah I was around for that one too, so if there is any bias at all, it's based on situations that have occured in the past. I mean I could understand being upset if the product were advertised with something else that was not included in the package, or if something was left out of the package and you had to request a new download, but that was not the case and those things would not warrant a complaint that opened up this thread. So I guess if you are sensing some anger or whatever in my words then maybe I'm still trying to figure out even why you said anything in public at all...because that is not how things like this should be handled, ESPECIALLY over something that a merchant is going to be giving away for free...and if you absolutely, HAD to say something in public, why in the world didn't you say it at the site that this happened? But I digress and I'm repeating myself, but that's just frustration with someone that can only seem to see one side of the whole situation and acts before they think things through. I believe the saying is "damn the consequences". If you want me or anyone else to stay out of this, then I suggest that you keep it out of a public forum, where anyone that reads it may respond to it, if they see fit..that's why they are called "public". That means you take the good with bad and run the risk of NOT getting the sympathy that you seem to be looking for, or perhaps you will, but you DO run the risk of almost anything happening. Hi everyone. I'm sorry you were all put through yet another episode of this crap! Marque is of course, talking about the tent mentioned in my ad for the Komodai at DNA. Firstly, she has never even emailed or IM'd me about it. Secondly, the day Syyd clued me in was Friday the 14, which just happened to be my anniversary, so I hadn't planned on doing anything on the computer that day - I'm sure everyone understands that :) I had a wonderful anniversary, my wife had a day off and we spent it in each others' pockets, so to speak :) Then I got the email forward from Syyd letting me know there was a question about the tent. I emailed Syyd first to apologise and explain that the mention was an error, but that because it was mentioned we'd put it up as a freebie ASAP. Then I emailed Marque. This is exactly what I said: ::Hi Marque I will be releasing the tent as a free add-on today, hopefully, or tomorrow at the latest. Sorry for the delay. Noel :: So, Shelley made me take time out of our special day to get the tent packaged and ready, once she found out Marque was complaining about it. Does that sound like a "maybe" to anyone? I would also refute the statement that I've burned her before. This is not true, plain and simple. She asked me to do something (and she was the only one who expressed interest in this), and I told her I'd see what I could do. I never got around to it, and finally told her I wouldn't, so sorry. Marque is not the nicest customer to deal with, I regret to say. She has told me a couple of times that she won't buy from me anymore, even though I always try to give the best customer service that I can. I will never be able to please her, because she has decided I can't, yet she continues to buy from me and complain. Never think that I am willfully disregarding my customers, or showing an "I don't need them" attitude. I am grateful for every person who has ever bought from me, the same as I am for those who've downloaded any of my free stuff things. But when is enough customer support enough? It's never enough, until the problem is resolved one way or another, and that's how I feel. Most people are reasonable enough however, to acknowlege the support, or patient enough to wait more than a few hours before complaining at a site other than where the merchant is. I have tried to please Marque before, found it impossible, and yet tried again only to wake up to this thread. I apologise again to everyone, for the delay in the release of the tent. I want to thank Pendy - hon, you rock :) Thanks for the support!! And Marque, I'm sorry you felt dissatisfied.

Sorry but I did email you and I have both of your replies. The first one was to tell me that you were glad I gave you a heads-up about the ad and you would change it because you were going to release the tent in another package or maybe for free. The second to tell me that you were going to put it up for free and that was only AFTER I emailed Syyd to tell her what was happening. Why not put what you wrote in the first email? And why block me from emailing you again to talk about it? I said it before and I stand by it, if you state that you have something and you don't you should deal with it. The only reason I came here was out of frustration. If you give and item away then fine, you can act any way you like, but if you are in the business of selling your work then expect people to be upset if they are not treated fairly. And as far as trying to please me before, I asked if you could create and addon to work for the cybertonic legs for Mike and I would buy it if neccessary, you said you would, and that you would put it up for free, that I didn't need to buy it from you. You continued to tell me how busy you were, too busy to do this, and you though you never did say you weren't going to it never got done. I'm sorry if you don't remember how this all came to be, seems like your memory lapse makes me look like some kind of monster who is out for your blood. I am only asking for a fair shake from a merchant. I will not be coming back to this thread. Thank you for putting the tent up for free, I appreciate it. Happy Anniversary. Marque

OK everyone, I am going to lock this down,

First the item mentioned is not being sold in the Rosity Market Place.

All parties have stated their case and I am confident that all parties can work this out in private -
Hopefully the parties can Resolve the problem and shake hands :)
