Subject: Why two sets of material zones for the V3 eyes?

This is a great source of confusion when I am manually setting textures on V3. Why are there two sets of material zones for the eyes? (see picture)

Should I try to make one set transparent, or have them both point to the same map? Why does she need two sets in the first place?

I've seen this sort of thing before when I used a mat file on the wrong figure, not sure if this is the same tho as I'm still waiting to buy V3.
