Can someone please do the steps for me to use this? I start it and it seems to be done but it never gives me the option the do the corrections?? Thanks, Marque

It appears to be finished and tells me to select a dir and do the corrections, but I'm not able to select the directory. Can someone help out please? Can't use my pboost until I do this. Marque

Marque are you talking to yourself again.....LOL...just kidding, so you got it....how do you like it? Think it is saving time? Sharen

Marque, I was having the same problems! It said "Access violation at 0000F51C Read of address 0000F51C" I tried it 3 times and it did the same thing, so I just said the hell with it and went into the Deep File Editor in Pboost and I am making the references by hand. It will take longer, but at least I haven't gotten any error messages. If anyone knows what causes this or what to do about it, please post it! Thanks,

Marque ( ) posted Tue, 01 April 2003 at 12:42 PM

How do you do the references by hand? Thanks Cyhiraeth for letting me know I'm not crazy. 8^) Marque

Well, I'm not so sure I am doing it right either. I bring up Pboost, go to Menu, go to Deep File Editor. You then have a window that looks a lot like the Materials editor in Poser. You then click in Pboost on the folder, then subfolder, then CR2 that you want to correct its reference; for instance, Default Characters:Koshini:Baby Doll Then, it will put one of three colored "links" to the texture that is supposed to go with it. If it is green, all is well. If it is blue, it is there, but it can't find it. If it is red, it can't find it at all. If blue, you click on the blue sentence, then click on "Correct" and then click OK. If it is red, click on the red statement, then click "Change" then you have to manually look for the file. I'm sure this is confusing the way I am explaining it. You can also go to Hogsoft's website and he explains it better.

Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to write it all out for me. Marque

You're apparently confusing two entirely different programs: 1.) CorrectReference is a stand-alone freebie product 2.) Deep FIle Editor is part of PBooost... You're better off using CorrectReference. You can check much more than Deep File Editor.

Cyhiraeth ( ) posted Tue, 01 April 2003 at 9:49 PM

Well, that's what I tried doing, but Correct Reference keeps giving me weird error messages and I can't get it to work.

Same here getting memory errors with Correct Reference. Was using it so I could use Pboost. Marque
