Absolutely not. The Platinum Club is a very important part of DAZ and we have no intentions whatsoever of closing it. In fact we are putting more and more efforts in developing products for it. You will see an even increased commitment on the part of DAZ and associated artists in adding new products to the PC that may convince even the most resistant community members to join up:)
Thanks to the support of all those involved that help to keep the Platinum Club going (customers, artists etc.)
Sincerely,
Dan Farr
President, DAZ Productions
I would love to join the platinum club but $100 is a bit steep for me at the moment....any chance of membership going back on sale again???? Pretty please???? With sugar???? :)

Well, there's this first official mention of Michael 3 at DAZ's web site: "Michael 3.0 is currently under development and will include many of the new groundbreaking techniques and assets introduced through the Victoria 3.0 product, such as: true-to-life body- shaping and contouring, strategic mesh resolution, photo-realistic skin mapping, and asset management. With this upcoming version of DAZ?s Michael model, the creation of animation, film, web design, illustrations, and photo-realism projects will be easier than ever before."Dan, I'm so glad to hear that. Regards, Brent

Thanks for posting that, greenbd. I'm hoping the versatility of Michael 3 reaches muscular deformations similar to the Hulk movie model. Some people (I think it was Konan) tried to get Mike 2 up to those proportions but there were problems at the hands and foot joints, I guess with poses that change the control joints his versatility could be expanded. Same method used to make Vicky 2 clothes compatible with Vicky 3.
If your in PClub, before your subscrition runs out you can purchase it again with the 30% off it's $69 to get. Maybe other discount insentives later on dunno. Anton in another thread had mentioned that they were working on ways to make it easyer for people to get PClub memberships, dunno what that means, but seems like Daz3d is aware of it and working on something. Site has a new look, Daz Studio getting closer and closer, Mimic 2.0 around the corner, seems like a lot of things are in the works and Daz always has a few surpises around too. Later this summer it's gunna be fun I bet. Seems like Anton and Micheal Lane are probably a bit overworked, bless their little modeling hearts.
Mac, haven't you been keeping up on DAZ Studio posts? The base program will be free and the then there will be separate plugins you can buy as you prefer. Platinum Club closing....NO WAY...that's 1 rumor I would never have believed....I think it's too sweet a deal for both DAZ and us...It's my first choice of places to purchase and even at $1.99 ea. on top of membership fees, I'll bet they're making a ton off the club and rightly so they should too! It's a great place with high quality products!

I've heard mumurings that the Daz Platinum club will be closing when the initial memberships are up. Is there any truth to that? I notice the platinum membership is still available so I guess it would need to be a year from when they stop offering it. Anyways, I feel like the prices in Platinum club are a great deal and hope that membership goes on. Can anyone from Daz address this? Regards, Brent
