Subject: Grecian Hair @ DAZ / V3 ?

Attached Link: Grecian Hair @ DAZ

Does anyone know if the Grecian Hair that is over at DAZ will work with V3 properly, meaning will it conform? If not has anyone heard from the creators about it being updated? I attempted to email both the creators and have not heard back. If you're not sure what I am referring to check the linkage... Any info would be appreciated :-) /gz

I'm rendering with it on V3 now. I know there are a few ways to get it to work -- one being not conforming it, but I conformed it and then used the trans and rotate dials on the "body" of the hair to get it into the right position, a bit of scale here and there and a bit of tweaking on the "head" portion and it works beautifully. I think you can also tweak it into position and then parent it to V3 and it will work. Either way, after tweaking it save it into the hair library and it's one click away from using next time. :) Lisa

I think Jim Burton had a V3 Hair fitter pose, which works on most hair!

I applied Netherworks conforming pose, and had no problems afterwards. I've used it pretty often playing around.

Use Jim Burton's conforming hair pose for V3...snaps it right into place and it looks great :o). Laurie

Can't help you with the Jim Burton pose unfortunately, but (sorry if I'm stating the obvious here) I find the easiest way to interchange V2/V3 hair figures is to simply set the hair figure parent to the character head, and then restore the hair figure. Works great with the Grecian hair and V3. Also works in reverse for "conforming" V3 hair figures like the bombshell to V2 characters.

It's at PoserPro's. If you are a member, it's at the link. If you're not, register and it's in the freestuff club forum, 3 pages back. Laurie

No problem :o). I love that hair too and it was nice to be able to use it on V3. Jim's pose does pretty well with it :o). Laurie
