Your work on the water is spectacular Zhann and makes for a very striking scene. I think on this one you've outdone yourself and you've left me with a problem............."how on earth am I gonna pick who to vote for, there are too many great images to choose from"............and this one is tops. 8) Catlin
This is a truly great picture. I'm very impressed with your work, Zhann. No kidding. I do,however have a couple of personnal niggles if you will permit me....? I think the lady on the rock needs to be pointing and looking at the monster as if she is conjoring it up out of the depths. Her light might benefit from a touch of lense flare, although the blue is a nice shade.. The monster itself looks old - was that intentional? I say this because the arms look kinked, almost arthritic...if that was your intent then fine, I would have smoothed out the arms to look stronger/more detemined. After a few moments study I noticed the water pouring off the beasty's arms...very nice touch... As for the sea and sky.....what can I say....they are simply perfect. I've seen the ocean in this state and it's terrifying! You have caught it exactly! You're just too good for this place.... Go away and make some other forum despair! ...:-) The Bryster

Thank guys, this month's image has been a challenge for sure, and it took all month...:)
Belated Credits;
Hey B, yeah ,he's the oldest of his kind (I didn't make the model though, I kinda had to take it as is, but I did rearange the tenacles somewhat in Amapi), and she is looking at him, sorta, but when you conjure, you never know where things are gonna pop up!
Catlin, sure I'll try my hand at a tutorial, what I learned came from several tuts that I combined, a long as I don't trend on anybody toes, I'll do one that is specific to this image and emcompasses the lot...it may take awhile, but I'll give it a shot...:]
And after checking out the other entries, whooa, this is gonna be a tough one this month, everyone is getting sooo expert!

LOL..................8) It's not flattery, you deserve the compliments. I used to go to your site and gallery to admire your abstract work but since you've started doing traditional work I am more and more impressed with what you have achieved, ie. last months entry was a stunner too. Thanks for sharing your wonderful artwork Zhann it's much appreciated. Catlin

-patience is a virtue, 11hrs,49mins, 1 sec to render
-to use Poser and bring it into Bryce
-to make ocean swells, spray, foam out of terrains
-to do post work, which I never do...:)
-use a 2d plane for sky (although I knew it, I never used it before)
-some lighting for effect
So that it for what it's worth, I hope everyone enjoys it, the title is 'The Summoning', 1200x900 will be in my gallery after we vote....do I need to check 'nudity'?
