Subject: Another PayPal order, another long wait for a download link

rockets ( ) posted Thu, 03 July 2003 at 12:54 PM · edited Tue, 26 November 2024 at 7:59 PM

I thought Daz was going to automate their Paypal account. That's what we were told last month, but yesterday afternoon I made another order using Paypal and after numerous emails to Daz, still haven't received a download link. How hard can this be? I sent the receipt from PayPal along with the order information...why does this have to be such a hassle? Because tomorrow is the 4th of July, I assume Daz will be closed which means I won't receive my order until sometime next week.

My idea of rebooting is kicking somebody in the butt twice!

Call the 800 number.

Paypal delays some payments for several days. It may not be a problem on the DAZ side. If you have an authenicated PayPal account with money in it, your transactions are immediate. If PayPal must verify "non-verified" funds, like e-checks, or any other unverified money source, it can take several days before the vendor is notified that the money is there and good. Unfortunately, it has been scammers who have forced PayPal and people companies like DAZ to exercise such caution. Best system for a purchaser is to have money in a verified PayPal account, and then you should not have any problems getting immediate service.

Yep, I have money in a verified PayPal account and it still takes days.

And so the best thing to do is... CONTACT DAZ. We can do nothing here, as WE ARE NOT DAZ. If there is a problem with purchases made at Daz, TAKE IT UP WITH DAZ.

I've seen this said alot, its ok to say call the 800 number, but not everyone lives in the US!! might be a tad expensive for me (and others) if i had to call them seeing as i am in the UK...

PayPal orders are now automated at DAZ, it was implemented last night. If you have had problems getting through to us, it's because we are literally swamped with emails and it might take us a day to get back to you, I apologize in advance for this delay. You can try calling, but the phones are quite busy as well today. Steve Kondris DAZ Productions, Inc. 800-267-5170 sales@daz3d.com

Same here, rockets. I have a doubly verified Paypal account (meaning that I verified my bank account and address). Yet, it required a phone call to get the process rolling after waiting nearly three business days. Kuroyume

Thank you Steve, I thought it had been, but there seems to still be a problem with it. I could see that it was supposed to be automated, but the link to "Pay now" just kept bringing me back to the same page. I had to go to Paypal directly and pay from there. I have my receipt, but it seems you haven't gotten the payment (even though Paypal states otherwise). I receieved an email telling me that I still needed to pay for my order (Yes, I used the correct address) I hope this gets settled soon. I'm sure it's just as frustrating on your end as it is on ours.

The 800 number is international as well from what I have been told at Daz. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Marque

Don't feel bad. I had the same problem. I ordered on the 27th or 28th. Waited two days, finally got a message from DAZ where I was to send my money to. Sent my money to DAZ. Waited. Waited three days. I'm verified. They have my address and bank account AND my mother's credit card on file. I don't like using the card, because it's TOO EASY to spend a crapload of money with one. Finally, yesterday I called the 800 number and spoke with a nice young woman, explained what was going on. Five seconds later, almost literally, I was downloading the items I bought. I was irritated, at the time, because I like instant gratification, just like the rest of us. It was frustrating to have already paid and not get my grubby little fingers on it. At first, I felt like accusing them of slacking. And then I remembered exactly how many people buy things from them. They /might/ have been slacking, but honestly, I think they were just swamped.

I had the same problem. Ordered 2 items 1.July paid through Paypal - I'm a verified customer at Paypal and tranfered the money right away to DAZ. The 3. July I got 2 download links - both showing a denial code - wrote DAZ same day and havent heard anything yet (7.july) I've bought 2 items yesterday with a creditcard - 1 link worked. I know you is terrible busy right know but 1 week I think is to much. Hope DAZ will be able to speed up real soon. To expensive to call DAZ from Denmark.
