Im waiting for issue 88 of Computer Arts to hit the states so I too can play with Cinema 4D CE. However that doesnt mean Ill quit using Vue. I invested too much time learning Vue besides to get the kind of landscapes and atmosphere in Vue you have to get Xfrog and Ozone. That can end up costing you money even with the free version of Cinema 4D.
Yves, your Vue images fantastic and I am sure that your Cinema 4D images will be equally as good but I will still like to see some new Vue images from you.
Dave
Have fun with Cinema, Yves; I have a version of it as unrestricted demo from the company, but danged if I can figure it out! I admire the stuff I see in that gallery, though. Look forward to seeing the fruits of your labors. And don't be a stranger; it won't hurt you to play in Vue sometimes!
Yves, you are a wonderful artist & modeller. I have no doubts that regardless of the package you use, your very own, unique talent will shine through and wow us all! Please do not stray from Vue forever, you will be sorely missed!!!! hugs ~b ps. can't wait to see the wonderful new creations that will emit from your playroom ;)
You are all very kind! Probably will use Vue for the contest renderosity cover which ends 5 october, Winter memory, Vue should be very good at this, as winter recall snow, and snow recall landscape ;=) I also suggest all of Vue users to participate to this contest... Not enough time to do this with C4D... I'm just a beginner trying to place a ball and to render it (Ahahah!). As you see I'm still here, and I still use Vue ;=) Yves
Hi Yves, well, that's weird--I got my CE+ a month ago, too. Welcome to the Cinema4D community. :D I myself will stick around with Vue, mind, as I still think it's one of the best landscape modeling applications out there. And I quite enjoy including some landscapes from time to time. ;) All the best, -Sascha.rb P.S. be sure to download the "Cutter" plugin for C4D, much better than Maxon's knife tool even in release 8 of C4D. -.rb

I just got a Cinema4D6 CE in french Pixel magazine... A great soft especially for modelling...And just 99euros if you want to unlimited render res. That's why I will move to an other forum, coming here from time to time...I think I'll keep Vue for my children it's easy to use, C4D seems not so easy to understand :=) Anyway bye to all my old and new friends, "ce n'est qu'un au revoir",... ;=) Yves
