Subject: Problem with ordering Vue Pro any ideas?

ladydrakana ( ) posted Tue, 16 September 2003 at 1:03 PM · edited Wed, 25 December 2024 at 2:05 PM

I just got off the phone with E-on. I had tried ordering Vue Pro online and it took my credit card information. I did not see an order number on this page. The next page that came up said "Invalid username or password". When I called E-On. The lady at E-on said that she was an answering service only and kept trying to get me to order Mover or Ozone. She was not going to continue unless I ordered something. I let her know that I was very disapointed with these comments and she finally gave me a long distance number to call. With having given E-On my credit card number online for a purchase that totaled $315. I felt I should have recieved at the very lest a little respect. Instead of being asked for my credit card number again. So she could order the product again without confirming that the first order went through. Then being told she was an answering service and could not get that information. She really didn't sound like she cared one way or the other. Several times she said that she was just an answering service. What is an answering service doing taking orders? I don't think I should be billed again, just to find out the status of the first order so I can re-order if it failed to go through. It is making me re-concider ordering at all. I have read other comments here in this forum and other forums about how professional E-on had been for them. When they had questions. So I was not prepared for what I experinced. Yes, I can email them but that can take days or weeks to get a response that way. I will probably try that eventually. How else can I get in contact with some one who has the ability or willingness to help me without it costing me more money or so much time that I eventually give up on them?

Please Lynn, can you answer to this?

The same thing happened to me, except I did get an order number, I checked it and the order did go through and they are waiting confirmation that my card is good. I would give it a day and I bet you get your number or email confirmation soon. I went back and ordered Mover 4, only because I was going to anyway, and the same thing happened, but again I did get an order number to check with. Sharen Did you get this number? 877-972-7345 that is toll free

It is possible the order number was on the page that I entered the cc info but I didn't see it. Also have not recieved any email conformation as yet.

Hi LadyDrakana, Sorry about that. We have a highly secure system so that once credit card information goes into the system, its protected from any eyes except accounting. So our order takers dont have access to credit card information once an order is taken. Its not that we dont trust them (even if they have small, black, suspiciously beedy furtive eyes), its that its a level of privacy protection we can provide. Ill be checking Renderosity a little more regularly this week, so if you have any problems, just message me through my Renderosity account with your real name, and Ill take care of you personally. Best regards, Lynn Fredricks e-on software

Sorry - this has probably been discussed in 8 other threads but to be clear... Vue pro still requires mover for advanced animation features (like poser animation import etc)? and does Vue Pro work with poser 5 (no updates required like 4.2) thanks

Lynn ( ) posted Tue, 16 September 2003 at 11:26 PM

Vue Pro does not include Poser animation support, but it does include the same Poser support in Vue 4. Mover 4 will be supported with Vue Pro with an update. Overall, there are more animation features (with the exception of Poser animation) support in Vue Pro than there is with Vue 4 and Mover 4 combined. Best regards, Lynn Fredricks e-on software

Thanks - I was confused when Sharen said she was ordering Vue Pro but had also ordered Mover 4 - I was not sure if Pro would obsolete Mover or work side by side with it.

SAMS3D ( ) posted Wed, 17 September 2003 at 9:21 AM

My understanding is that Pro works with Mover, Mover is not incorporated in Vue Pro, Mover imports things like complete Poser animation scenes, then also adds different aspects like bluring and other things that Pro can use, also mixed with Pro's animation. I better go read that again, but I think that is right. Sharen
