Is it possible? I can't get the dang things to download for nothing. Maybe because I am on a Mac but I have never been able to have it work well and with IE 5 it won't work at all. Thanks

I'm on a PC, using IE 5, and the only problems I have are with the host servers, like Homestead and Geocities. The FreeStuff links work fine for me.

Must be a mac thing then. If anyone has a solution I would be very thankful. Right now the files all come in as download.ez and then won't open. Just gets a long string of code and junk if you try to click it. I used to get it that it would understand there was a zip file in there but now it doesn't do that at all. The download thing was annoying as it was cause I can't tell what is what but now the files don't work at all.

Explorer on Mac always downloaded the file as "download.ez", but I also experienced the wrong typing for a long time. As a coincidence, I just recently found out about the reason, it is partly caused by some strange behaviour of the Renderosity server, and partly by the way how IE accesses Internet Config. I made a complete description how to fix it here: http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12357&Form.ShowMessage=145546 'Hope that helps, MartinC

I use IE 4.5 on MAC. I always "download link to disk" then run through stuffit expander (never double click). Sometimes host site problems but in that case I copy thr link to clipboard, open a new window in IE & paste the link imto url & hit re-load at which time it usualy dowwnloads OK. Sometimes BebEdit will auto open the file but I just close it & run thru StuffitExpaner & all is fine.

Well the process Martin did fixes up the downloading .. I can do it now. Just sucks that I can't figure out what is what ... Thanks Martin

All downloaded files have the original URL as comment - so you can see the Renderosity "slot number" there (set the view list preferences of your download folder to show the comment). This way you can manually "synchronize" it with the "what's new" pages afterwards.

I'm on a Mac and I just click on the image and it downloads fine. They do come as "download.ez" but if you drag 'em to stuffit expander they'll open up as a folder with the same name, then you can rename them.
