Rattle someone's cage, and send them a "Wicked Witch" email postcard!Attached Link: http://www.moviesounds.com/oz.html
"What would you do with a brain if you had one?" (Dorothy's "metaphysical" question?) And many MORE great audio sound bites- "I'll get you, my pretty....and your little dog, too!" Dorothy: Supposing you met an elephant? Lion: I'd wrap him up in cellephant! "I am Oz....The great and powerful Oz knows WHY you have come" My little party's just beginning! AND THE CLASSIC----- "Toto... I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore."Attached Link: http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Hills/6396/gulch.htm
DOROTHY: (shouting) "We must be up inside the cyclone!" CLOSE SHOT -- TOTO peering out from under the bed. MEDIUM SHOT -- BEDROOM DOROTHY sees MISS GULCH pedaling away grimly on her bicycle. DOROTHY: "Oh, Miss Gulch!" When MISS GULCH comes close to the CAMERA, her clothes change into a flying robe and pointed hat of a witch, and her bicycle fades into a broom. She gives a wild, weird peal of laughter.Attached Link: http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Hills/6396/emerald.htm
You need to remember that "Wizard of Oz" was one of the FIRST real Full Color movies ever. It had a tremendous impact on many peoples ideas and thinking about FANTASY. I remember as a kid that the flying monkies really scared the #$%@! out of me! Hard to get out of your mind HUNDREDS of EVIL FLYING MONKIES when you are 5-6 years old!Attached Link: http://thewizardofoz.warnerbros.com/
This will make Cooler happy! Warner Brothers will send hundreds of Evil Flying Lawyers after you if you attempt to go "too far". But we know you WON'T, my little PRETTY!!! (and that goes for your little DOG too!)Attached Link: http://www.retrocrush.com/monsters/94.html
I did a search on the internet and was astonished to find a huge number of references to the "Wizard of Oz" Flying Monkies and how these characters were the SCARIEST part of the movie! These EVIL-LOOKING Flying Monkeys have been scaring kids since 1939 and STILL scare kids even today! Pretty good achievement for a 60-plus movie! Here are some photo references- I predict whoever does a really good EVIL FLYING MONKEY will have a HOT Renderosity Store Item for Halloween! (Yes, Marque- it was made in color. If you are from the older generation (like me), you probably saw it first in B&W on television. The movie saw a big revival in the early 70's and thats when network television began taking it seriously as a "cult" phenomena and started showing every year- usually around March in vivid color, as an annual movie event. Many people expressed "surprise" that the movie was, IN FACT, a COLOR movie.)Attached Link: http://www.ugcs.caltech.edu/~villains/witchwest.htm
In the movie credits, a person named "Nikko" gets the only credit line for actually appearing as a "Flying Monkey", perhaps because he gets a good scene shot like the one shown here.Attached Link: http://www.delmars.com/agmg/parade/p11a.html
Not THE MilCat, but a potential new MilCat-Koshini type of Fantasy character! The BAT-WINGED MIL-CAT!"The Wizard of Oz" had one of the most innovative and famous uses of color of all time. The beginning and ending scenes, set in Kansas, were in black and white. But the Oz scenes were all in color. It's wonderful moment, when Dorothy (and the audience) realizes she's not in Kansas any more - just from the switch from black and white to color.
I should also mention that I like Miss Gulch and HATE Toto and all such unmanageable, ill-bred, untrained dogs and their feather-headed irresponsible owners. If Toto wasn't shitting in her garden and digging up her plants, Miss Gulch would probably have been revealed as the nice lady she really was. Carolly
"How can you hate Toto?" Easy. At the end of the movie, he sees a cat and jumps from his owner's arms in order to chase it. Vicious cat-killing mongrel! Dorothy has no control over her dog... which has obviously never learned the words "come" or "down" or "stay". It is quite possible to train a dog to sit by your side even if a cat walks by with tail in the air. Failing that, it is possible to train the dog to return upon command. Any dog which cannot be trained ought to be destroyed before its genes get into the pool. Any person who cannot train or control a dog ought not to have one. Easy. Carolly

Here is another of one of my RANTS, this one about one of the BEST FEMALE characters ever- Miss Gulch, AKA the "Wicked Witch of the West" She was played by MISS MARGARET HAMILTON, a wonderful character actress. It would be great to see someone create a V3 Witch character based upon her- since she was the PROTOTYPICAL witch that influenced so many later Hollywood and Halloween themes. There are some GREAT audio sound bites also to help get you in the Wicked Witch mode and mood!
