I think Keith may have discovered your problem! You have your transparency set to 0% which makes the layer clear. I am assuming you are trying to make glass windows. The layer you're trying to make the window in is just that, a layer, on top of the surface of the rest of the model, so if you have it transparent, the texture underneath shows through. That's most likely why you aren't seeing your windows!
hmm, I'll have to take a look at that tonight after work. I think its more in line with what mark said about being on the inside of the mesh. How to correct that I have no ideal. As to the value set at 0 I dont think thats it..notice the top shader is also set at 0....in fact most of the shaders are at 0 transparency. I'll check that also tho. btw dethblud...its that big b/c its running on duel monitors.
Hi again Brent, I've put stuff on the inside of meshes before. I can't guarantee that it will work but it may be as simple as having a positive value in the 'left' locater. Pardons in advance if I'm telling you something that you already know but make sure you use the dolly camera within the preview window to spin the shader model around and find it. (hold the 'D' down and click and spin the object) BTW, do you really have monitors that fight each other or is that 'dual' monitors? :) Mark
