Thats why i didn't answered over the weekend. I wanted to double check. I did nothiing special - that was the trick. I went through the given link to the page, clicked onto the Mac version and went out.In the end i was surprised that nobody asked me for a Vue serial number or anything like that. I simply clicked on it and went. In the beginning fedex was greyed out, so i reloaded the page - as far as i can remember. I only remember that i was surprised, that there was no price difference between fedex ground and fedex 2 days delievery. I tested that. So i decided to order it like i did. What you see here is the confirmation email from CL. I will try it again tomorrow morning. I must run now. Who will buy the second copy from me if it works? Lol.

I already figured out that before. If your address is goofed up somehow the shipping will be $5.00 but hey you'll never get it that price I don't think. Reloading that page must have the same effect.

Benettor ( ) posted Mon, 17 November 2003 at 2:44 PM

that @wabe Happened and for me when i saw only shipping with 100 $ i reload the page and i saw and the others shipping but this is not truth if u reading the faq for international customers u can see only express fedex shipping.. but i dont know if that is fear or corect.. we wait for your order....... Good luck

I feel for you guys. I got an e-mail from them with these offers. I went to the site and did find the links but it took a lot of button pushing and hair pulling. When i found it I couldn't think of why I was going to get it because I had a poopload of questions to ask and didn't know who to ask. One of the vendors here suggested I come to this forum and very carefully word out my needs and see what got tossed back at me. I won't ask it here though I don't wanna get flamed. But I found that the best way to get around any web service snafus is to find a good phone number or e-mail address and barrage someone in their customer service departments with all my gripes and questions. You get a few things done this way: 1. something in writing they have to honor. 2. customer satisfaction...if lucky and persistent. 3. an opportunity to hear what needs to be said and/or heard from the horse's mouth leaving less room for conjecture and hyperbol. E-mail someone there from the site itself and voice your questions and I am sure if they want to sell you a product you will hear from someone...eventually. it may not be what you want to hear/read but at least you can say you tried making a difference.

I ordered Poser 5 from Amazon for $139 with free shipping. This is for a U.S. address. I got an email from Amazon saying it has been shipped, but it has not arrived yet. I guess that means that the order went through.

As this feature was not clear, I have asked e-o what's about the register thingy on their page. I got an answer: If you cannot buy right now, but you will buy, you can register at e-on's site. You must register (limited time!!) before November 30, 2003 but then you can buy (and pay) later, even only in a few month. I hope you like that:-) Guitta

Just to keep you informed. Today i recieved the message that my Poser is shipped (11/18) and will arrive probably the 11/24. Well, this is not two days delivery as i ordered, but for 5$ i dont want to be too pushy. I'll keep you informed. :-)) Walther

Ok, I, think i know now what i have done differently to you all. I tried it again and it worked again. I think it simply is a wrong programmed html page. I ordered a copy and checked out. When i came to the delievery page, everything was greyed out, exept the international fedex thingie - $ 71.xx . I didn't clicked it and went on. Of course the porzess sent me back to select something - AND, ta ta, all is selectable. So i selected the 5$ shipment. Now i am curious what CL will do - and what they will charge me for the delievery. But i promise, i will fight hard and i have a legal protection insurance if they want to charge more!

Re Poser5 in Europe I was horrified when I saw the price difference between US / UK Amazon.com - Poser5 full boxed - $139 (on offer and has been for months) Amazon.co.uk - Exact same product - 349.99 (That's $594.91) (never been on offer - ever) Now, add to that the tax. US (I think around 12% is high?) = $16.68 (on the $139) That works out at $155.68 (91.58) UK (17.5% tax) = 61.25 ($114.11) So the UK deal works out at 411.24 ($699.05) It's not shipped yet and there is a difference of a whopping $543.37 (319.68) Same company - different country.

Look on the bright side - I paid well over 300 for Poser 5. Still, I just got the Vue offer for 86 (including shipping) to here is (not so) sunny England.

I said i'll keep you informed. Today the package from CL via Fedex arrived - hurray. Well, a bit longer than the 2 days delivery, but i don't want to be picky. Strangely enough, there are no shipping costs on the invoice that came with the package. None at all. Only 149$ for the software. BUT,i had to pay VAT because of importing software to Germany. 32.43 Euros. Not a big thing for me, because i will get that back in my tax declaration, but you should know. I will inform you what Visa will take away from my account. Am i curious enough to install it this afternoon? We will see. :-)) Walther

Here's another story on this big offer, e-on, and Curios labs both sent me an email with that offer, the day after I'd bought Vue4. I already have Poser4&5, so I emailed them, but they havn't answered. Do you think I should get more pushy on this , it was quite madening. Here in Canada we get pretty burned on the money exchange, although the shipping wasn't to bad, took a week and a half though, then I had to pay import duty, and it snowed today, brrrrrrrr.

MightyPete ( ) posted Wed, 26 November 2003 at 12:01 AM

Well at least they should have told you to wait a day.

kahshe ( ) posted Wed, 26 November 2003 at 2:08 AM

I will try to talk to them again, but sometimes you get a thill from a bad thing. That was my first post, and you replied, thanks MightyPete, your support was appreciated.

MightyPete ( ) posted Wed, 26 November 2003 at 2:26 AM

A after thought I had is to really look carefully at the date on your charge card. It's possible the charge was not instant and happened on the next day if that's the case well then you did pay too much and deserve a rebate. I'm sure E-On is reasonable though. It's like say you bought Vue 4 today and Vue 5 came out tommorrow. I'm sure they will let you have the new version if there the same price.

wabe ( ) posted Wed, 03 December 2003 at 7:26 AM

I promissed to keep you updated. Curious Lab charged my Visa card. 154$, as the invoice said. So i was really lucky with the shipment costs. But Poser 5 for Mac is not the fastest program in the world. Boring to see a rotating cursor for a looooong time! Hope you are as lucky as i am, Walther
