Aharon I have a pc....just open poser select a part of the default figure of whatever you want to grow hair on...type the word "hair"(no dialogue box need just type) and up pops a window with dials. Playing with them varies the effect and tadaaa...hair! :) So far I'm having a ball redicoving a function I found when I first got P4 and could never figure out what the heck I'd done to get it in the first place! I was mistaken. On the Poser Mailing List, there was a discussion as to tricks to pull with this (I'm not on it, so I only have second-hand information), and it can be exported as a 3DS prop, which can then be re-imported as an (apparently) renderable prop. It seems to lose some of the "shagginess" however.
Just to recap what I've found once more. The Hairy Prop Maker can be called up on PC or Mac simply by typing in 'hair' (no quotes) when you open Poser. Select any body part, prop or hair and click 'create new figure', wait around till it appears and play with the Treemaker dials (it's slow!), then press 'Done', go to props menu and you'll find 'Hair 1' This can be saved as a smart prop and color can be changed using Surface Materials. Only way I've found of saving a render so far is File/Export/Image. Still playing with it. maclean
Yeah, all I can get are either triangles or arc shaped objects if I export the hair as DXF or 3ds and then reimport it. But they render. It doesn't make bad grass though. Anyhow you can morph it, you can use magnets, it can be animated etc. I seem to end up making chia pets out of my test critters. ;)

Played with hair for several hours last night. I had mixed results doing hair and beards, via spawning facial parts as props to grow the hair on. Tonight Im going to subdivide the meshes see if smaller triangles will improve the look. Here is what I created on one figure, hair would be great for a Vegas showgirl costume. To me most of my results look more feathery than furry. Another idea is to add hair to animals, like the raptor. This may give it the feathered look that so many have mentioned in prior postings.
