Still Life is defined as the portrayal of something inanimate: a representation of inanimate objects, for example, fruit, flowers, or food, often but not limited to domestic settings. For centuries painters have used still life as both a visual exercise and as a way of exploring the symbolism of objects. The earliest photographers found similar virtues in still lifes. Whether approached as an experiment with light, shape, color and composition, as a study in meaning, or as a combination of the two, still life offers the photographer both a learning experience and a vehicle for his or her imagination. Shall have a page up soon.... in the meantime feel free to view the wonderful entries from November.

I am, therefore I create.......

Still Life? Amazingly, posting a p*rn photo will count. Don't beleive me? read on..... Definition of Still - as taken from the Merriam-Webster Dictionary : Main Entry: still Function: noun Date: 1533 1 : DISTILLERY 2 : apparatus used in distillation comprising either the chamber in which the vaporization is carried out or the entire equipment Also from the same : Main Entry: life Pronunciation: 'lIf Function: noun Inflected Form(s): plural lives /'lIvz/ Etymology: Middle English lif, from Old English lIf; akin to Old English libban to live Date: before 12th century c : an organismic state characterized by capacity for metabolism, growth, reaction to stimuli, and reproduction. Ergo, you consume the products of the Still, get drunk, pick up a bird and get on with the characterising the function of reproduction as described in Life. Evil friend bursts into room with a camera and takes a pic which they then post on Rosity under the justifiable title of Still Life. See? told you. (",)
