Subject: Issues with Lalana

Okay. I like the texture, well enough, but I JUST OPENED her and noticed these problems. There's a big morph break in the back of her neck, and she has these unidentifiable mesh bunching under her eyes... Is there going to be a fix for either issue? She apparently wasn't fully tested to have made it through with these problems. And, I note, that the little bags under the eyes are not at all visible in the promo images, so it could be that Handspan never even saw them. But I prefer global lighting, for my work, and Lalana isn't usable, currently.

That dark mark is a poser renderer bug everyone refers to as "Black polys", not the fault of the product.

Bags under the eyes depends on the lighting you use.

What version of poser do you have?

I'll have a look at the product using the Pro Pack.

I was unable to reproduce the eye bags or the black polys.

Try loading the default version of the character into an empty scene.

All I can think of is there may be be an unwanted morph turned on by a face or pose file.

Loaded right out of the library the figure works as it should for me.

Wrong, Jeff, that black mark is actually a morph defeciency that broke up the mesh at the back of the neck, it's not a rendering bug at all. Regardless of that, the bags under the eyes are unsightly and shouldn't have been allowed, really, or it should have been noted they were there. I've tested in both p4 and p5, and same issues in both. I know exactly what the issue is with the bags under the eyes. I've made the mistake myself when dealing with eyelashes. A simple smoothing morph would fix the issue and make everyone happy, because the neckbreak is NOT a big deal.

There are no bags or "Morph breaks" on the product. I just restested it.

Check again. They're there. Use different lighting than the default lighting. It's not my computer, I've seen the issue before. I can fix it myself, but I paid good money for the product, and shouldn't have to fix it. Here. I'll show screenshots.

And, for reference, I did not do ANYTHING with the figure in extreme morph 3d. That's unedited. Completely, 100% Lalana.

Like I said before, when I load the figure there is no break in it at all.

It renders without any black marks and if you don't want figures with bags under there eyes don't light them from below. Even real people without bags will look bad in that lighting.

Best thing to do at this point is to discuss it with the merchant and if you are unhappy with it they can fix it to your liking or ok a gift certificate refund.

I cannot reproduce what you are showing and I don't have that software.

Most little KIDS don't have huge bags under their eyes, and quite frankly, telling someone not to light the product from below is a crock. A product should be usable in ALL LIGHTING unless specified otherwise. Nice to see that all merchants still aren't created equal.

Khrys, thanks for posting this. I was looking to purchase her, but if you are having problems like that, I'm going to take her out of my wish list. I hope you get this resolved. I've seen it before too in other models during testing products and it's NOT a render problem. Thanks again :) Pendarian
