Sorry, JV, I had a stroke recently and my communication skills are a little muddled. I realize now you are giving me exactly what I am asking for, only I'm asking for the wrong thing. Let me try again. Imagine a snake coiled around an arm like a piece of jewelry - the head of the snake at the bicep. If I do it the way I asked for and the way you instructed(sorry), the second snake's head is now at the tricep - concealed from view- which is not what I want. Am I making sense? What I'm looking for is a second snake that is coiled in the opposite direction (I think)
It's going to take a bit of work because there are 15 sections to the snake. What you'll have to do is click on each section and adjust the dials manually. If side-side is 32, put a negative sign in front of it making it -32. Not everything is going to be opposite though, I think up-down would remain the same, I'm not entirely sure about twist. sigh Too much thinking for me today I guess. .................................................. Just checked, twist would have to be opposite also, up-down would remain the same

Pose your snake, save the pose. Load another snake, apply the pose. Now go to one of the snakes, and at each individual body part, either delete the "-" of the parameters, or add one if there is none. That should give you the exact opposite pose. The reason symetry doesn't work here is because it doesn't have the same named body parts as a human figure.
Here is a way to mirror a pose file. Save a pose file for the character (do NOT include morphs). Open the pz2 in a text editor, you need to do a globall search and replace. You will replace:
k 0
with k 0 -
Note that there MUST be two blank spaces after the "k" and two blank spaces after the "0" in both the search and replace text. Performing the search and replace will mirror all the positive rotations. The search and replace will also have added an extra minus sign to any negative rotations. Now do another global search and replace of "--" with blank space, this will mirror the negative rotations. Now delete all the "rotateX" channels. Last of all delete all translation channels from the file. You can delete the translation channels manualy whilst in the text editor, it's much easier to do this step in the free utility Mat Pose Edit (version 2.0.3).

Just posed the P5 snake character exactly like I want it - now I need another snake posed exactly opposite - a mirrored image if you will. Is there a way to do this? Thanks
