Subject: Appropriate Customer Behavior

Greetings all, Quick query. I have plenty of products. Some that I've never opened. I'm a sick packrat when it comes to these models. I accept this. But of course from time to time I discover something wrong with a product I never really got around to exploring fully. e.g., I've just discovered missing files in a product I purchased here quite some time ago. The vendor has not replied to any of my emails. Would it be inappropriate to find out if someone in the community has these missing files? Or would I be stepping on all those 'DO NOT REDISTRIBUTE' toes I keep hearing about? Just wondering. I've used this product for a while and do love it but have only now discovered this very moment there are a few glitches in it. So, what's the protocol? kmw

Think I meant to say: "... only discovered now there are ..." Minor thing, yeah. But I'm an English major, for corn's sake. Hate it when I do stuff like that... And I do it all the time... kmw

If the missing files are not included into the productpackage, nobody should have them. No other customer and nobody from Renderosity stuff. The only person that can help you is the autor of the product in question. If the vendor is not available yet, perhaps he/she is on holliday? I'm pretty sure Clint will offer you a solution. So be patient, he is very busy but omnipresent :) Fredi (another vendor)

adp001, Thanx for your time. Though truth is I imagined what you advise from step one. That's why I queried would it be appropriate to ask. I'd hoped perhaps a beta tester or someone like that might have the missing file. Plus, from what I see, the vendor has suspiciously vanished from the community and that might be why I wasn't getting a response, so I thought I'd take the shot. Have a good holiday, Fredi. ******* Clint, A good holiday and a solid thanx to you as well. I'll shoot that e-mail to the store right now. kmw
