.dds format pictures are used mostly by video game companies, I know the makers of "Unreal Tournament" use this format. Depending on what you are using to view/convert the .dds picture, you may see multiple size textures in the same document, if you do, you may have to crop the texture to just the 1024x1024 section before you convert. Catlin, make sure the .zip is (about) 107Mb. It might have partially downloaded. If it is 107Mb, maybe try a different unzipping utility? AS

I wish they'd break it down a little so people using a dialup connection had a chance at it.(I managed to get some of the C code they supplied so I'm not complaining, but the utilities depend on DX9 & PS 7 so I might not be able to use it for any thing for a while.) Anyrate thanks Agent Smith; I didn't know Nvidia was getting that user friendly. I remember paying $100 for a SDK from creative for sound blaster a few years ago, so I didn't expect this! - TJ
Cool, glad you got it! AS

A new one I had just found; "Transmogrifying Textures Vol. I" (from Nvidia) (yes, the video card company) Catch #1 - 225+ great textures at various sizes between 128 to 1024, is compilied into one 107Mb .zip file, will be hard for dial-up users to get this. Catch #2 - Texture are in the .dds format. Not a truly big deal, just slightly inconvenient. There is a link that will provide a Photoshop plugin to read/write dds files. Irfanview also will read .dds files.
