Duh, me bad. I couldn't duplicate his "mistake" because I didn't set my lights to the same colours as his. And me bad for forgetting Art Class lesson number one about mixing of colours.

Hmmm... so a global lighting setup with 37-odd lights* and a nice bright spot light for the sun might not throw a shadow if the sum of all those lights is too high? For areas with less pollution, thinner air, or a point light** source (such as Mars) we can fake harsher lighting by raising the size of the shadowmap... but what if we want diffuse lighting without jaggies (underwater shadows)? Carolly *I chose 37 because it was an odd number. **The sun is a disk from Earth and a point from Mars.

Hi Di, The intensity button on the light controls only allows you to set the intensity from 2% to 100%. The parameter dial allows setting from 0% to 10,000,000% ... well, maybe not quite that high, but there are times when you may want to use more than 100%. I have a silly question, sorry. It's about the globe the lights sit on in the Poser window. I've never been quite sure which way is up with it, and it confuses me 'cos up till now I've only tried to move them by dragging. Can you tell me which is up, down and sideways? Thanks 8) Catlin

a few questions: about the fact that shadows will not show up when the total of intensity/light on an area is above the maximum, then how could i use for example one global illumination set (to ehance textures of the characters) and yet having at least a single shadow ? other question: regarding skin textures and such, what advices/colors/settings basics could you recommend to boost them a bit, and make them a bit more realistic. I once ested the same picture with poser default settings, then with some light set and it was night adn day about lights: what differencs/limits between spots and infinite, aside from parenting ?, i mean what is recommender for what kind of use. What shoudl i prefer ? question: what/why are the lights leaving sometimes a "shadow camera" in he camera list, and what the point ? About intensity: what is the point / when it can be useful to raise it above 100% have other questions, but need to put them into words.. yes i am a pestful student i know. I often enraged my teachers because asking too many questions... thanx
